You're wrong!

We appointed Davey because he'll do what he's told, and when it all goes wrong he'll carry the can for it AND he is the cheap financial option.

You're right about Jokewell though. Everything gets done on the cheap. They know the cost of everything, value of nothing. I was on the Wolves homepage yesterday - they make us look like a pub team for the way they are managed and marketed. No, correction, we make ourselves look like a pub team.

John Dennis would be much much better than Gordon Shepherd.

    a gagging clause.

    what rubbish.

he gets sacked, therefore why would he sign a gagging clause.

he needs a job, why would he sign a clause that doesn't protect his reputation which he needs to get a new job?

    speaking out of your arse.

or the contrary, if youre right, shep stood up and lied.... making statements to the media that simply werent true, and couldnt even be construed differently.

I'm afraid you're right. I agree very strongly with what you have said there.

What makes the situation all the worse is the fact that the management of the club fail to manage the expectations of the fans at all. There is no suggestion of the directors saying 'We have no money, but we'll do the best we can'. Quite the opposite. They will ramp up the expectations by talking about 'box office players', '£2 million to spend', 'We're looking to make an ambitious appointment, someone with experience'. WTF is that all about?

I'm getting sick of it all and I'm losing interest fast. If we don't sign some genuinely good, proven players who will give us a fighting chance, they can stick it up their arses. They might be goingback to league 1 - but I won't.

Unfortunately it would seem that Shepherd is going to stay put until the club is ruined, but maybe at that point I'll buy it - I'm sure I'll have five quid knocking about somewhere.

although teh club is worth more now than when he took it over due to the reduction in debt.

It'll be worth ten bob in the lower leagues - doesn't matter what we owe the net value of the club will be **** all playing in front of four thousand people. If we go down, you'll have to face it, the club is in jeopardy - there is no future for Barnsley Football Club in division 1, people aren't interested in it.

if the club spends too much like the situation previously the club goes into admin, and 10 points knocked off sure does cripple a season

Ok - whatever you like. They can only play these games for so long, they're not making the board any more popular and they're not keeping us up. The fans are turning away - how many people on here have said 'I'm not renewing my season ticket'? That's that's the clear indication - the acid test. I'm only a hairs breadth away from calling it a day myself. If wego downI'll wait until there is a major sea change in the ambitions of the club and then I'll take interest again.

With your degree of blind allegiance to Shepherd I'm suspicious that you're either him visiting the board, related to him, or work for him very closely.

But apparently, according to Shepherd, we have £2 million pounds to spend. Or was he lying? You can't have it both ways.

Nothing cripples a season like having Shepherd as a chairman.

i wish i was any of those things, i might have some influence on what happens then or the players we'd want to sign. as ive stateed, im not sure davey is the right man, but i see no benefit to the board in trying to run the club down, they get nothining out of it. why should pat cryne invest when the fans say they wont? double standards im afraid.
