As far as I am aware, a bacterial infection can be secondary to a viral infection. I had viral pneumonia in 1984, and was on antibiotics for my chest. Took several weeks to get over it and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

A good few years ago now I had to go into Barnsley General Hospital for a delicate operation....one that required shaving off the pubes...the nurse that came into do it was one of my mates from Barnsley Rugby Club...as you can imagine we were both disgusted at the prospect..so I did my own!!

Yep, still no sign of tests so my GP over the phone prescribed me antibiotics. Again had a crap nights sleep my chest still isn't right. Hopefully after 4 days on the meds it'll start to clear it up.

My GP over the phone, did think the same. I've had chest and breathing issues for 17 of the 21 days. 4 days of which were scary.
