It is without doubt an issue, there are far, far more black players then managers in terms of percentage, why is that? It's like players back in the 1970s - WBA "exploited" it by signing black players because they were cheaper, and hence over achieved with the money spent, there are ex-players who if given the opportunity would no doubt be better then the merry-go-round of the same old faces we see getting sacked and re-employed - any club with a bit of imagination could land themselves the next Cyrille Regis of management.

Most of football management is jobs for the boys so the mid table & lower ranking premiership clubs keep recycling the same faces.

Your big clubs go for the foreign super managers which tend to come from Spain, Italy, Portugal & Germany who don’t have a fraction of the amount of black people we do so they aren’t likely to be black when they go in for them.

With the lower leagues I don’t really know why? Maybe some don’t want to work there way up & maybe there is some prejudice.

I’ve got plenty of time for Hasslebaink who tried his luck at Burton & got them promoted into the championship.

I’ve seen someone like Dwight Yorke on the tele thinking he should get the Villa job with no coaching experience. Although that’s nowhere near as bad as Ryan Giggs who expects to get a premiership club despite only been a number 2 to Louis Van Gaal & playing some of the dullest football Man Utd fans have seen.
