RE: bang on. nt I don't think it's the only thing needed I just think it's one of the poorest aspects of the club and will be a contributing factor to the low crowds.
RE: This 'marketing' we keep going on about. We need bigger crowds. They will not come just due to some nice new 'marketing' ploy.
If Man Utd were relegation candidates for a few seasons no amount of marketing would keep their crowds at 70,000 plus.

RE: This 'marketing' we keep going on about. I don't think it's as simple as one 'ploy' - the stronger together effort isn't bad, but that's just PR. The club needs to be better at a lot of things. If Man Utd were relegation candidates for a few seasons I think they should expect to compare themselves to other clubs in a similar situation rather than on current form.
RE: This 'marketing' we keep going on about. So marketing wouldn't boost their crowds in that situation ?

RE: This 'marketing' we keep going on about. It would help to maintain them, but a loss is inevitable. Compared to 'no marketing' it would make a big difference.
It Doesn't Sound Like Blackpool Will Spend Big....... having read this........ http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/blackpool-football-club/Pool-not-in-for-big.4149139.jp
Yep, the club can only do so much. Heres the thing. Everyone who likes football in the Barnsley area knows there is a team, and knows just about where the ground is. Its just they can't be arsed, and find it easier to pick a top prem team to 'support'. I think part of it is that a lot of people like saying they support a team, and watching games in the pub with a few pints, but are just not bothered about dragging their fat arses down to an actual game - its too expensive, or its too cold, or they can't watch a game without hearing the Sky swoosh every few seconds and listening to Andy Gray being boring and Scottish. So, given the choice, they get more reflected glory and more games to watch by choosing Man U (even tho the team has bog all to do with them), then actually supporting their home town team.
Nope Im still convinced ODJ has the potential to be a quality Championship striker, and with a season under his belt, Im expecting him to make a big impact next season.
I prefer the puppet image no news gets put on here without Jay's explicit agreement. FACTO FACTE FACTAR FACTOFF.
