Yeah, I get that now, guess I got lost in trying to put some positivity in todays abysmal showing.

The fact that we've allowed another 3 teams to be in with a shout means we have to win. No way a draw does the job.

Allowing us to have reached this point is beyond unacceptable. It's an absolute disgrace.

Next week's game is not one I'm looking forward to witnessing. I've lost any faith that we'll do the job.

The effort to do so was commendable, at least.

Sorry to have laboured the point, I went for a walk around the garden and some deep breaths and didn't refresh to see the other replies.

    So to conclude today's fixture...
We were horrible for 80 minutes.
Our defence is an absolute shambles and a joke
We have zero pace in and out of possession
We should have been 6 down at one point
On a positive our subs actually made a difference
    WE WERE TERRIBLE

You're showing plenty of positive by owning up to the error. We all make them, we're not all so gracious when they're pointed out :)

My take on this and possibly a knee jerk reaction.
Time for a new era let the players who don't want to be here go.
As its obvious to me there not up for the shirt.
Get in a coach or team of coaches eg Eaden . who can motivate us to get the fans out of our seats for a change .
This as been a poor season ,reliance on teams around us being poor.
New start over to the board ,as fans will drift away ,like I have over the last 4 seasons.

He’ll be sacked anyway, so might aswell give him the boot now & let the caretaker manager have a crack, but it needs doing now so they’ve got a full week on the training ground

Right, game over we got what most expected. Collins won't be sacked during the next 24 hours, we're skint.
Be interesting next week if we go one nil down in the first half. Atmosphere will be toxic.

They haven't got the balls to sack him.

I admit the reasons to defend Collins are paper thin, and they have been getting lesser in recent weeks.
But he and the players have got that last chance now to clinch a Play off place, next week at home to a mid table team!.
Yeah admittedly they should have done it ages ago, and I don't know how much of that late show today was genuinely good or because Blacky had switched off.
Too little too late maybe, yet again.

Well we all know that the usual home game plan does not work. So we need something else.

Does the manager have the imagination and the players have the ability?

We need a running midfield attacker from somewhere, cos 10 square taps at the back prior to one aimless rocket launch up front will not work.

The sheer number of goals we have conceded could very well cost us dearly next week. We have scored more goals in the last 12 months than anyone else in the country and yet we find ourselves with the joint worst goal difference of any team in the top 8.

Several ways it could cost us.

    a. A defeat means Lincoln and Oxford both go above us with only a draw and we miss out.

    b. A draw means we would miss out if one of Lincoln and Oxford win, plus Blackpool win, and would mean Bkackpool go above us on goal difference.

8th is the lowest we can finish.

Is it likely that Collins's contract is such that it's a lot cheaper to get rid of him if we fail to go up / reach the playoffs? Either way, and without wanting to comment on the rights or wrongs of it, I can't realistically see him not being in charge for the remaining game(s) of the season.

Been saying the last few weeks, amidst the doom and gloom on here, that we will get in the playoffs but now it’s going to be so nervy next Saturday. With the way we defend every game, guarantee we will need at least 2 or 3 goals to win.
