I'd let devaney have the last game of the season. We won't make the play offs or do anything with this clown.
I think the only conclusion to reach here is that the majority of fans are fed up to the back teeth of week after week seeing a negative team sent out by a manager who is so scared to death of losing ( even against lowly teams) that he actually brings about the result that he is scared of. We obviously have some talented layers but they are rarely allowed to express themselves because of negative formations and tactics. Hence when teams around us are scoring goals we are just dithering about.
Don’t doubt that, but as fans ( whatever your opinion is of the manager/team/individual players) we should all be getting behind them from the off and hopefully help to settle any nerves. We need to be patient and not jump on the first negative or the first error. Try to play our part, then it’s up to the team to deliver (or not)
Tedious post alert!!! I don't think goal difference can affect our position relative to Blackpool. If we win, Blackpool can't catch us and neither can Lincoln or Oxford. If we draw and Blackpool win, we will be level on 76 points but Blackpool will have a goal difference at least 1 better than ours as they won. If we win next week we're in the play-offs regardless of other results. If we draw next week, and any 2 out of Blackpool, Lincoln and Oxford don't win, we're in the play-offs. If we lose next week, Blackpool don't win and Lincoln or Oxford lose, we're in the play-offs. Oxford are away at Exeter, Lincoln are at home to Portsmouth, Blackpool are at Reading.
he’s burned his last bridge for me, even if he stayed in charge and we win next week, we all know the pathetic tactics that would await in the play offs. We certainly aren’t going to sell Kant season tickets with him in charge!
Yep the fact that we didn't lay a finger on them until the game was lost won't get a mention. He's a terrible manager that hasn't improved anything this season.
Me too, I also thought it wouldn’t go down to the last 2 or 3 games, let alone the last one. I can assure you I’m as disappointed as the next fan, but I won’t let go until if or when we do miss out
Cosgrove's job is to score a goal, or at least look like doing such a thing. I'm struggling to think of an example, other than a couple of times when clean through he took a bad touch. One of those did end up in a goal, as an assist, as another player tapped it in. If you think Cosgrove is a footballer, I am the Dali Lama. Bless you.
You’re a bit late to the party, see several other replies, and then my explanation. Sorry you found it tedious.
Yeah I know, and it's hard to defend it for much longer. Even though Id also blame the players as well, they must take their share of the blame and responsibility.
