Blackpools situation and Karl oyston in particular is a national embarrassment and the fact and football league, along with ALL member clubs should be ashamed of themselves.

Karl oyston stated that he intended to relegate Blackpool to none league. Whether he was being serious or making a joke is irrelevant, he made the comment and should have been ruled unfit to be on the board of a football club but he was allowed to get away with it by both the fact and the football league. That is shameful but nowhere near as shameful as the fact that this pathetic excuse for a human being is actually on the football league board. Yes you read that correctly, Karl oyston sits on the board of the organisation that runs the league. Out of 72 member clubs Oyston is one of just six board members voted in. How can a man who has publicly claimed he is attempting to relegate Blackpool to none league and has lost ALL support from every single paying customer be elected to the board?

Totally agree. I can't understand why the FA are not stepping in. Surely there is something than can be done.

Can I ask a bit of advice? I'm bringing a bloody great flag with me which will need lugging from the car into the ground and back. I've only got one working arm and my 2 passengers are petite ladies. What's the nearest I can park to the ground without breaking the NAPM principle?

I took the decision not to attend which was a pretty painful one for me out of solidarity and understand why others won't make a similar decision. But every little helps not buying a programme taking a flask drinking in the spoons packing a sarnie. I don't want to get sued so cannot directly about Oyston but as St says should have been banned for his non league comments

I have relatives in Blackpool on my Mums side

My Auntie Eva (RIP) , I used to go over there in the school holydays. I Had terrific times there. Auntie Eva and uncle Jack (also RIP) had a big family and so I was well looked after. My cousin Susan was my age so we played together a lot and had some reyt laughs on the sands and the Golden mile and the fun fair.. then there was Sheila, Brian, Ann & Christine. Uncle Jack was a tram driver on the front and Christine was a 'Clippy' who's bus just happened to stop down the road from Auntie Eva's in Leyton... Susie and I would get on Christine's bus for free and get off down the front at Northshore which was a spit from Uncle Jacks tram and again for free.... but we both had to do some hiding if an inspector got on ... my cousin Brian often took me to Bloomfield Road to watch the footy. Ann was a bit more outward bound and she took me and Susie to Stanley park and sometimes up the Lakes.... memories that are etched in my mind.... To this end I have an affinity with Blackpool the place, the people and the Club .... and yes I do feel for them , the fans are a good lot of lads and lasses.... and they so do not deserve to be in the rut they are in right now.

Maybe the Barnsley fans could sing a song on Blackpool fans behalf? Solidarity and all that?

    Any tips?

"We're Barnsley FC but we won't buy your beer" ?

"Get out of their Club..... no one wants you get out of their club..!" etc?

"Get out of their club, get out of their club.... You greedy ******* get out of their club"
"You're not fit to own a club"
    "You sue your fans....what a *****"

But anything really would be appreciated, just don't expect the few home fans that attend to join in as they don't agree having a go at our great leader.

However not spending would hurt him the most as all they are bothered about is...money.

    What a depressing thread.

Heartbreaking to read of clubs in a mess because of greedy and incompetent owners.

I speak from experience here as my club are in the Championship because of similar. And the maggot is still Chairman.

Sadly I can't make the game as my daughter is playing Saturday and I won't have time to make it over, but I for one would be right behind those songs, and I'm sure alot of Reds fans will be.

I know someone who was connected to the club when Oyston first came in. He said that in spite of the Ground Staff telling him otherwise, Oyston ordered the lowest grade/ cheapest grass seed for the pitch. Hence Blackpool Beach no 2. Is that right?

It defo sounds about right, I wouldn't want to say too much on line, due to fear of being sued. But a great blog which sums up our state is

    http://www.nataseasiders.com/once-proud-club-2/

And loads of comments about our pitch.

I have to admit, (I may well be alone in this view) that I find Blackpool FC one of the most depressing visits in the League Calendar.
Polar opposite to the fun, 'kiss me quick', happy, carefree image the town is anxious to project.
I really feel for the Blackpool fans.
To see your Club, the Club that you love, disintegrate before your very eyes and to then witness the general lack of investment is gut wrenching for any fan who loves their club.
    It's heart rending.
I have all solidarity with the Blackpool FC fans.
No matter how cold it is, I shan't be partaking of any drinks in the ground, let alone food.

I've followed the arguments on the Blackpool fans' forums over a long period of time and to be honest, they've been treated abysmally.
They should, by their rights of being in the Premiership, be financially reasonably stable and looking to progress, instead they are languishing in division two.
    How?
    Why?
It's tragic and so very sad to see.
Hopefully one day the owners will tire of their involvement and make way for people/investors who have Blackpool FC interests at heart.
    I hope so.
If there's any singing, I will be joining in, if only to piss off the awful Stewards at Blackpool FC who think they have licence to manhandle you and push you around to their hearts content, whilst treating you like something they've scraped from their boots!
    Hortible, just horrible.
The worst stewards I've ever encountered at any football ground.
    I'm going on Saturday.
It's a means of showing my support for the Club I love.
I shan't be gloating that we have more fans than them.
I know that I'll be feeling sad for the fans of a once great club.
I hope we win, of course I do, but any win will be tinged with a sense of sadness.
I truly hope that their torment will end sooner rather than later.
