Never said we were. Just stating that I doubt, in our current financial state, that we could’ve competed with Blackpool if we were. Stockport are hardly skint and they couldn’t .
Doubt blackpool are rolling in it tbh falling gates crumbling stands. Don't think they have a owner throwing silly money at them.
No it's not, but equally it doesn't mean he's no good either and we can automatically do better because your nor aware of him, if I was a betting man I'd edge my bets to say we won't bring in better than both.
3 sides of their ground are great tbf. Only one that could be described as crumbling. Our gates will probably fall more than theirs this next season too. Main factor will be that they haven’t made as big a mess of previous recruitment as us and ended up with a top heavy squad of sub standard players they can’t offload. That’s what is holding us back I bet. We need to sell (or give away in some cases) before we can recruit.
Yeh the stand I've sat in on many occasions was only supposed to be a temporary stand years ago think there in the process of replacing it.
I never said he was no good,I said I'd never heard of him.I'm aware of the player from the sty but I would expect us to sign somebody equal or better than him.Just my view.
I'd like us to sign some defenders but it's probably a case of getting rid before we sign. And who's going to want to sign the likes of mdg who looked a absolute liability for the 2nd half of the season or infact anyone from a defence that shipped so many goals. Gives shepard and lopata a great chance.
So if you've never heard of him, how can you judge his quality to be able to say " I hope were after better quality than those 2" Because you wouldn't know if he was good or bad
I think they’ll just do what they’ve done this season. Decent squad on paper but don’t seem to be going anywhere. As much as I think we’re gonna be bang average, I reckon they’ll be not far above us. Think they’re could be some surprises again next season. Wouldn’t surprise me to see Port Vale and Donny come up and compete and two outside bets would be Exeter and Mansfield. Think Exeter will honestly come good. Play some great football and this coming year is ready for someone to strike who aren’t your usual suspects. Honestly can see us and Bolton having average seasons again and wouldn’t surprise me with the amount of players losing, Peterborough could well find them being a bottom four club. Bold call but there’s only so many times you can lose players over a couple of seasons without making much cash.
Agree with you on Bolton, Peterborough are a very young team, it's all it's and buts I guess at this stage until 1st Sep. Of the 3 coming down I don't fancy Cardiff or Plymouth, Luton will be thereabouts. I actually fancy Reading despite us tanking them on the last day, I think they'll kick on. Tough league again.
The temporary stand at Blackpool is being redeveloped, albeit plans have changed and they are refreshing the temporary stand saw an article today it had new cladding
