RE: Right then mi old china. I didn't slag any Barnsley players off, so don't confuse who said what. Neither did I say any swear word other than tw*t, so don't make out I am Bernard Manning.</p> And don't be so patronising "..let's get behind the team..."</p>
RE: Right then mi old china. you know what mate, i just tried to see your side of it and you showed your true colours. so i'll speak in your language... your a tw@t.
I wasn't there........... .....and so obviously can't comment on who said what but I will say one thing mate - you can't question Harrow Tyke's commitment as a fan. From what I can gather he puts some serious miles in supporting the Reds. And I'd say, if anything, the fact that he's not from Barnsley adds to his credit as a supporter.
i can only imagine I must be caught up in this somewhere. 1. Shuker was f!!king appalling and hasn't put in a decent performance in recent weeks/recent months/all season/ever* 2. We always keep tabs on the scores of the sides who are capable of catching us (even though it's getting more remote). Forest bagging 7 goals is clearly a talking point. 3. I don't recall ever saying Colgan is *****. I might well have said he was **** last season and he's been a changed man this year. Which is true. 4. Correct - not from Barnsley myself but family roots are all there from my parents and back. I didn't know I had to fill in an "are you local?" questionnaire before turning up at Oakwell and making my views heard. Strange how this board reacts to those of us who travel up from London (virtually every week and most away matches too) - quick to criticise and complain about us, but not so fast in actually introducing themselves and seeing that in reality we're probably just like most other Barnsley fans, we just have rather a lot of time before the matches to get completely pissed. We therefore wholeheartedly apologise for enjoying our weekends, after all they're the only time that we escape from our sprawling country estates, Mayfair crash pads and enormously well paid professional careers and put wedges of our vastly over-inflated salaries into the South Yorkshire economy. Please note that last sentence was tongue-in-cheek, as I can only imagine the dumb-arse replies it's going to get. * delete as appropriate
RE: i can only imagine fair enough mate. my rant is over...my "not even from barnsley" comment was also tongue in cheek and getting at that moaning fans can go and support sheff utd. shuker has played well many times, too many times to remember and although on saturday his execution was appalling...he is still one of our better players. i put a lot of miles into getting to the games aswell so i know just what it's like giving up your saturday (weekend, if you include all of the sunday commitments you have to make up for from saturday). whether it was you...someone slated colgan and someone else corrected them, good on them. like i said the biggest thing for me was that we have all these under 10's in the ground, maybe their first game, and people are swearing all the time...and yes i know, not just you. but the real miracle i'm hoping for is that all barnsley fans would just be positive and try to support the team.
RE: i can only imagine My mates missus, who has a season ticket, is from London and moved up here back end of the Prem season I think when she moved in with him - prior to that she was an Arsenal fan....now very much committed to the Barnsley cause having been a season ticket holder since 98-99 season. In fact for a few seasons she was sitting away from her bloke (although with daughter of another of the mates) cause couldn't get seat next to us and she once got some comments about her accent when we were playing a London club.
