Not sure about them deserving to win imo , they certainly scored a quality goal but other than that we matched them and were unlucky to not score one of our good chances .

Freshen things up isn't just about rest, it's about trying to find a way to score at 4th time of trying. Brittain looked knackered after a brilliant but very long season. Sibbick played well but Soll would add some experience to our team which we lacked tonight. Dike needs to be told to not touch their players when running for the ball because they use their experience every time to go down under the slightest touch to get a free kick.

Majority of the game just passed him by whereas Morris was involved instantly.
We all know what Woodrow's got in his locker though we just need to see it again.

Did Collins have to make a save , they had a couple of chances and scored , we had a hat full of chances and a good penalty shout , we are well in this

don’t think he was garbage but is has to be said he hardly merits the term striker these days.
Think the game summed up much of our season tbh, too much fell apart at the final ball in. We get ‘ there’ but lack efforts on goal let alone actual goals.

Their centre half on loan from Chelsea was the best player on the pitch , an excellent defender. I was more than a bit put out though by their timewasting, even before they scored. I haven't seen a side spoil the game as much as them ever. Donny a few years back were good at it but Swansea are the master spoilers.

Start Morris alongside Dike then their Centre Backs will have a decision to make. Do they go two on Dike and leave Morris to somebody else or make it two one-on-one's which gives Daryl more room to work?

I think our season can be summed up more like "beyond our wildest dreams" tbh.

On Woodrow - I am not his biggest fan but i thought he's been pretty good recently. He spent a fair bit of the season trying but looking highly unlikely to score from open play, but he's now more part of a playing method that doesn't have him needing to score to justify his selection.

"Striker" is just a term isn't it? Vardy's a striker but he's doing things a bit differently now cos he's got a mate to finish it, if his mate's in a better position.

Anyway, Woodrow for me ought to be third in line behind Morris and Dike. Freezer I would keep. Then it's 2 more after that.

Woodrow should have had a field day tonight with all Swansea's focus being on Dike.

TBH I just get frustrated by what seems to be a lack of positional sense and nose for a goal by our frontmen , Morris excepted

Agreed, he was used too much as a battering ram tonight. And if only he'd played an accurate pass with more composure when we were breaking at speed. He had two to his left in space, unmarked with a clear run on goal.

Their keeper Woodman is on loan from Newcastle United. The latter are reportedly anticipating a
bid for his services from Arsenal any time soon.

It's rare Woodrow doesn't start, but I'd be tempted to start with Dike, Morris & Chaplin up top.

I don’t think we did a lot wrong. Morris in for Frieser is the only definite change I’d make.

Sibbick should keep his place for me. His pace came in handy on a couple of occasions in the first half & I don’t see Swansea as the type of team that we need Solbauer for.

I was very downbeat in the two league games against Swansea as we never looked like scoring but we created a couple of good chances tonight & on a few other occasions we were very close to creating one on ones with the keeper. We at least showed we can break Swansea down.

Woodman was excellent, he was the keeper when England U17’s won the World Cup in the same team as Foden & Sancho & he looked class then. Made the right decision & timed it perfect every time he came off his line.

Cant for the life of me understand anyone wanting Sibbick left out after his performance tonight, as if the defence was the problem and us needing to go and score goals on Saturday.

    Was he the No. 5?

He spent all game manhandling our players, even off the ball, and never once got penalized. He thought it was WWF.

I’d play either Moon instead of Palmer, or bring Styles in middle and have Williams on left.

For me styles is just too talented to playing out on the left just think what he could do in the middle.
