Morris was played in there. A bit like Ayew for Swansea, he cut inside but curled it past the far post. More composure needed.
It’s more a 5-2-3 if you ask me as we set with an obvious back five. As with everything though, very transitional throughout the game. The wide players aren’t as wide as they were under Big Val in my opinion.
Think they’ve played some good stuff amongst the usual Big Mick style football. Got in behind our full backs a couple of times with great balls in to the box, but haven’t broken us down through the middle. We’ve dealt with Collins really way so far. We’ve also played our own part in an entertaining game. We’ve looked to drop off and pick the ball up in space to drive forward. Some good intricate play between the forwards at times with Morris looking a threat throughout, just a bit rusty and some poor decisions. Set pieces really good in the main and a decent performance in the main - but realistically it’s a good one all things considered.
