RE: If Togerrs wasn't good enough to play then Because he changed his mind something that everyone says he can't do, If were looking to be successful in this league we need a smaller but better quality squad. Davey's learned by the poor signings thats why we have a loan striker and not bought Mr average that was available.
So, in less than 2 years in charge he has given contracts to: Togwell,Reid, Johnson, Cristensen, Ricketts, Ferenczi, Mattis and McCann and thenchanged his mind and decided they weren't good enough. That's a pretty high player turnover to me and I'll guess that won't be the end of it. Mostto for one.

RE: So, in less than 2 years in charge he has given contracts to: I think part of it though is down to his ability to have signed better players than those you listed after most had been given extensions. Players can become surplus rather quickly if he can improve certain areas quickly. I guess circumstances in football can chance quickly, so he has to adapt as a consequence. I'm pretty sure he thought we were going down 2 seasons ago, and so made judgements accordingly. When we stayed up, many of those decisions became irrelevant as he managed to bring in a far superior level of playing staff.

Extensions? Cristensen, Stan and McCann cost about £700k between them! Can we afford to waste that type of money all of a sudden?
I'm wondering if there was a clause Play x games that season and they get an extension? Could be complete rubbish, but it wouldn't surprise me.
RE: Extensions? Cristensen, Stan and McCann cost about Stan wasn't a waste. He had a HUGE impact when he first signed, more than justified his fee, and had some good moments last season. Unfortunately Macken, Hume and KO are deemed better. I'm not going to disagree to be honest, Stan seemed to lose a lot of what made him so effective.
If the reports are true about Christensen then yes it was a mistake, but perhaps he had no way of finding out prior.
McCann I was never sure about, and at the time he did a job.
All this said, some of the players we have signed that HAVE been successful have been real bargains. Foster, how much did he cost again for starters?
In my eyes he's made some quality signings (and in some cases spent **** all), but he's also made some very poor signings. Just like EVERY OTHER MANAGER THAT HAS EVER MANAGED!

RE: Extensions? Cristensen, Stan and McCann cost about More to Odejayi's game than Stan when brought on as sub, Stan became ineffective.
RE: Extensions? Cristensen, Stan and McCann cost about Odejayi cant score goals and can't pass, what he can do is run which helps the team hit the ball long all the time, great sub to bring on - i think not.
Stan had a bad year last year but he did actually score the odd goal and im sure if we'd actually crossed the ball into box anywhere near him he would have got a few more.

RE: Extensions? Cristensen, Stan and McCann cost about Toward the end of the season especially, Stan had become utterly useless I'm afraid. He seemed incapable of challenging for the ball without conceding a foul every single time
In my opinion whilst neither looked like scoring, KO had the potential to be much more of a handful.
I think Stan did the job he was asked in his first season, but unfortunately for both us and him, he wasn't quite up to it last season

RE: So, in less than 2 years in charge he has given contracts to: That just show how much we have progressed in the last two years, when you look at them players and the squad we have now how can blame Davey for getting better players in!
RE: Extensions? Cristensen, Stan and McCann cost about Handful?? He can't score goals and he is a striker.
The other team defenders can just leave him alone to mess up, he is a useless clown with no footballing talent what so ever, the quicker he f*cks off the better!!

RE: Extensions? Cristensen, Stan and McCann cost about But how many did Stan score last season?
He couldn't get near enough to goal because everytime he'd challenge for a header, he'd foul the defender.
I don't think either are good enough though really in all honesty.
But Hume and Macken are two quality strikers. Something we've not had in years

RE: Extensions? Cristensen, Stan and McCann cost about I like Hume think he is quality and a really good signing, Macken im still undecided about. I know a lot really like him on here but i don't know if he is still capable of scoring 15 goals in this league. Mostto - im one of a few that would love to see him get another chance especially alongside Hume instead of Odejayi. I think we could see a different player in him with Leon and Anderson playing.
Odejayi is **** and no where near good enough meaning we need another striker in my opinion
