hahah. Doesn't hassell wont to improve. This is the highest hassell as played and he can still improve or is this a lack of experience. You look at man u and R de silva and hes only 18/19 and he No's that hes got to push up and help out in attacks why doesn't Robert hassell hes 28a hole 10 years older. Does hassell wont to ever play at a higher level.
What are you on about? I think you'll find the primary objective of a right back is to defend. Which 'Robert' Hassell does very well the majority of the time.
Can I get this straight? You're angry at Bobby Hassell - one of the very best servants our club has - because he's not the same kind of player/as good as Alves?
even more confusing. van homo is garbage - he can run but he can't tackle' can't pass or cross and is caught out constantly. bobby should be the first name on the team sheet every time. solid, dependable, great reader of the game, never shirks a challenge and when he gets forward he consistently puts better crosses in than disco and jcr.
are you joking? being to the same game? and i think us in the ponty have a better view of the "width" you didn't see since you're sat parrallel to the pitch...
This is the same Rafael of Man Utd that almost gave a penalty away because he'd let Gamst-Pedersen past him because he was TOO far up the pitch? Bobby was my MotM yesterday and I think ur talking a load of ballax.
Can't agree with that. Thought he had a cracking game
Moments of note...tackle in the second half in the box (I think) that was absolutely brilliantly timed, anything else and a definite penalty, but he timed it brilliantly. Also a pass in the first half (was it to Mifsud?) where Bobby cut inside in our half, took a few touches and played a real quality ball through to Mifsud.
Thought he was one of the only players to have a decent game yesterday

I think Hemsowrth tyke has lost the war on this one. If Hassell did what Alves does, would he be playing for Barnsley?
Ive give up royston but I'm glad people on here have the experience of anderson de silva/darren moore/foster/colace and muller how many apps have they got ? I don't know but all told him to go up the line. Hugo as probably told that right back at man city something before but hay he cant say anything to Robert hassell. Hes best player in world in he and cant be told nothing. With the way hassell went about things all i can say you can tell hes never played at a higher level than this. I watch a bit of Spanish football on sky royston and do you no why alves is playing for barca and hassell for barnsley ? Its because he has a little bit more ability and he knows how to listen. You've also got to remember they have been working on this for 2 weeks when it was snowing and HES slowing all the team down as well. The two that most most angry about this was Darren moore and Muller and i just hope they both had a right go at him for it. Maybe if moore shows for a year he might get it in to is head.
how anyone can come on ere and slate hassel i dont beleive ,yes i agree he should get down the flank in this formation ,but he shouldnt be playing in this formation, or we shouldnt at home or with hassel there ,drop hassell and pick a wing back he aint a wing back ,but does put the effort in which is more than can be said of de silva who shud ave bin subbed on 30 mins,
Clutch i agree totally, I'm a big fan of anderson but he was not good yesterday and it is away formation but hes still got to get up and down moore. When people where booing him last year i never did and at Wednesday he was brilliant. You could see he struggled in cm/dm at times and that's why i never booed but he did have a problem at times yesterday. Hes normally one of my favorite players and thought he should have won player of the year the first champ season. I never did like Howard.
cant take it away from him ,he must be the most improved player ive seen in years, he was only a division 2 player when we got him and to be fair hes stepped up to the mark ,and improved each season, i thought that he wouldnt be good enough for championship but he as improved and even in midfield is lookin more comfortable on the ball, i think hes ad it hard with the manager as hes played him eveywhere and as just got on with it .a really good proffesional and deserves a new contract even as a squad player
I agree clutch i dont just get on to players. It was a good display by the defence again and i no van homoets not popular at the movement but he is been played on the left and his better on the right and i like him. Hes so fast and get up and down well. Any one seen that thing he does before kickoff where he moves is legs but stays in the same place all the time. You cant see is legs properly hes moving them that fast
we ave played decent football all season but ave really struggled in the last third of the field,at last we ave 2 strikers who will get goals, and wat does he do hoof it long .wats happening its not rocket science these boys need it in the holes. not over the top thats where formation comes in, u dont need badges to work that out football is simple if u keep it that way,de silva struggled i dont understand why cos hes a good player, but so did jcr n hes a good player ,we ave to play a system that suits the team not accomadate a player who we are gettin match fit for fulham. ando is a good player but it as to be 2 from 3 not all 3 and de silva or ando needs to drop out at home at least
Clutch, You must not have seen mifsud pointing and saying where he wonted it. What he was saying with his is hands is that as Charlton was defending high they should kick the ball long so he could run on to it or bogo could flick the ball to jcr/mifsud. This is not as much the midfielders fault but fault of all the team. This about the wind at oakwell as been said before and the one i can ink of is blackwell and he said the wind comes from all different directions
