    How will they?

It all sounds too far gone.now and i doubt anyone new.is waiting in the wings to save them.

Decades of being allowed to continue whilst living beyond their.meams.

Assuming Ken Anderson doesn't give a sh*t as he's a secured creditor? Can't see anyone else coming forward now. I said on here recently FV wouldn't complete but yet the administrators kept stating FV were the preferred and only bidder. Good riddance I say, as others have pointed out you can't just let the sorry saga drag on as it impacts on the integrity of the competition.

The hotel is being run by completely different administrators, who have preferred bidders that don’t want the club (heard it’s a hotel chain that want it), but the only profitable business plan for the club, and the only one the EFL have approved, includes using the hotel for sustainability. As I understand it, this is the issue.

I really don’t get the sympathy for Bolton and their ilk who have basically cheated their way into doing well in the premier league, getting into Europe and avoiding relegation at the expense of other clubs.
They’ve known for years that they were spending money they didn’t have and living way beyond their means and their fans lapped it up at the time. This blatant cheating has had a direct result on other clubs negative fortunes and now it’s coming home to roost.

They will survive imo, it will give sky sports an excuse to talk about the same thing over and over for the next days.

What is interesting is the fans haven’t been mentioned as a buyer, Portsmouth raised a few million quid from supporters pledging £1000 each and added a few high net worth individuals. A supporters trust might take it if it goes bust today but I’m fully expecting the EFL to ratify any deal it can to save face

Sheffield FC are the oldest club in the world. Notts County were the oldest club in the top four divisions.

Their greatest ever player Nat Lofthouse would have been 94 today. Can't see them being allowed to go under today of all days.

Virtually guarantee that another potential buyer comes in at the 11th hour and they are granted another stay of execution.

In all honestly, I think they should in the best long term interest of the fans, fold and those fans start their own supporter owned community club.

They have a decent fanbase which should enable them to regain league status after a few years working their way back. Presuming they would walk through the non league environment as just even the Bolton name would be a pull for the best non league talent.

But as for the current club, they have had too many chances already.

That release from the administrators was designed to haul the deal over the line, not announce its impending death. This is part of the negotiation and deal-making process.

Bolton will survive and a deal is likely very close. The question is what will the EFL do about the competitive imbalance resulting from Bolton’s postponements? The fairest thing would to let the club stay in the EFL bit relegate them and cancel their season - give them a year to regroup - but I’m sure that’s not allowed.

Plus when will Bolton be penalised for failing to fulfil a fixture last season and one this season (Brentford and Doncaster Rovers)?

Way as I’ve read it. Is if the new buyer can prove assets in place to buy and survive. and the seller accepts The EFL want a deal done to the tune of 99% (at the meeting taking place 5 pm this evening) then the complete deal will be deferred for another 2 weeks. Mind boggles. EFL appear to have bent over backwards on this one. To their extreme embarrassment. Birmingham last year. Beaten to death with a budgies feather.
