Although I did have an embarrassing moment when I proudly announced to my teachers I was going to do history at uni but if I didn't enjoy it I could always do a conversion course and fall back on soliciting...
Wanted be a draughtsman or commercial artist. Became a draughtsman (20 years with Refdfearns) then 26 years in Education for BMBC. Enjoyed it all specially the draughting. Now retired and secretary for a WMC.
Did a degree in sports studies with the view of maybe becoming a PE Teacher or Sports development officer. Ended up doing a 8 month internship at Blackpool FC (Sports science support) in 2nd year and got offered the job full-time after graduation.
Always enjoyed chemistry at school and after Sheffield Uni, managed to become a R&D Chemist. Now a Business Manager for a large global chemical company. Would have preferred to have lived the dream and been a REDS player.......but never good enough I'm afraid.
Football by day and rockstar at night. Later, I set my mind on being a teacher which I now am. Never envisaged living in Asia, mind; I always wanted to live in France... French girls always tickled my fancy.
