"if he has caught this horrible disease" You really are a knob. There's being sceptical, then there's what you're doing.
Yes it does. For good or ill he's supposed to be leading the country's defence against the pandemic. Not exactly the opportune time to have a leadership vacuum is it?
There's a very real chance he's now about to die from it. For the vast majority Covid-19 is over pretty quickly. Either very mild symptoms or something akin to a bad cold or mild flu. Uncomfortable but nothing most people haven't experienced before. Hence the the likes of Hancock who is now back at work. For a small percentage of the population, which equates to a lot of people, as a small percentage of millions is a big number, it lingers and that's when it's very dangerous. I don't like Boris. Not as a man and certainly not as a politician. I don't have any problem with people discussing party politics around Covid-19. The disease is not political but the response to it certainly is. However, I find this thread very distasteful. Fk*c the Tories. But fk*c their politics, their policies, not their lives. I hope Boris gets better. If you have, or you know anyone who has, Covid-19, whatever your political persuasion, I hope you or they get better very quickly.
Well said. Love him or hate him, he doesn’t deserve to die. I can’t imagine what his heavily pregnant girlfriend is going through, either.
As sceptical view is healthy, but batsh1t conspiracy theories are something else entirely. and this one; like the ‘best’ of them is totally illogical. who’s gaining from the govt trashing the economy in any way that makes it worthwhile?
She almost certainly has it. Apparently she has been ill for over a week with symptoms and isolating in a different house to Boris. Though I did see something saying she was improving yesterday. It’s a horrible situation for her and others in similar situations. Boris now being admitted to hospital is not going to help either.
I seem to remember not so long ago, Johnson telling the world that he was shaking hands with people who may have the virus, probably as a way of playing it down a bit. I now wonder how many, if any, people are on ventilators or waiting for one who followed his lead.
My understanding is ....being put on a ventilator is quite invasive and the vast majority of patients are quite heavily sedated intravenously. It is unlikely unless BJ is critical that he would require mechanical ventilation. One or two people on here need to stop sh*t stirring.
Is sh*tstirring the same as daring to have different views to yourself? And I have read my reply before posting and am happy with it!
Reported that he's gone in as a precautionary measure and has announced this morning that he's still running the Country from hospital. Coronavirus: Boris Johnson 'still in charge' despite hospital admission https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-52180223
Views and opinions are fine as long as they are based on some verifiable facts and not merely derived from, not only unverified sources, but discredited ones known to be disseminating miselading and false information.
News can be manipulated to use to politicians advantage and when folks realise they have been spun one yet again it makes truth harder to believe. The boy who cried wolf. Get well to all.
Surely views and opinions are exactly that! You don't necessarily need facts or credible information to have a view or opinion otherwise how could one hold any religion beliefs?
You hold whatever opinions you want, makes no difference to anyone. But when they are so obviously total b0llocks (to everyone else), don't be surprised when people suggest that they are total b0llocks. Your threads above appear to suggest that you still think Boris having the virus is fake news. That's so off the wall its disappeared down the embankment the other side.
You're entitled to hold whatever opinion you like - but so are others, and if they think your opinion is ridiculous, they're entitled to let you know. It's up to you how you receive that - but the thing about everyone being entitled to an opinion is that not all opinions are valid.
According to the BBC (Or at least Laura), he is breaking the Official Secrets Act and infection control protocols by having red boxes delivered into hospital (following last weeks insecure online Cabinet briefing also potentially breaking the OSA). According to RIA, he is on a ventilator. But that is denied by his spokesman. https://www.businessinsider.com/bor...tilator-disinformation-covid-2020-4?r=US&IR=T
That's the beauty of freedom of speech and if people think my views are ridiculous as you say they are entitled to their opinion and entitled to say so. However people don't have to resort to name calling just because they don't share my views. My original opinion was that it could have been fake news when 1st reported. My 2nd point was that still could have been the case and he then did catch it. For clarity, I think he now has the disease and I wish him a full and speedy recovery as I do anyone else who is effected by it.
