Fair enough - I'd be fairly sure that just means that the players that we are directly talking to at this moment in time include one striker - doesn't mean there aren't more...."irons in the fire". :)

To be honest i'm just worried that we're now three weeks in to january

and Simon Davey is only now looking at players to see if he thinks they will be good enough. This should have been done a month ago ready to make offers the first few days in january.

Don't get me wrong, Cryne stepping in was excellent but I think that a lot of people forget about Lewis' ideas and how the club was sold from him before he ever got chance to implement them.

In fact most of the ideas that he came up with all those years ago are now being implemented by other clubs and even ourselves have gone half way to implementing at least one.

    Oh definitely

I feel the club is in the safest hands its been in for years, don't think we could ask for a better chairman. I'm just saying that I think Lewis could have been good, although not for one minute would I prefer him over Cryne.

    I agree.

Though I still highly doubt that Davey didn't have targets in mind. Situations at clubs change, Davey may have had targets lined up, had positive feedback from the club, and then the goalposts have moved so to speak.

Lets just hope that when the window shuts on February 2nd, we have the talent there. Remember we signed Nyatanga, Macken and Anderson to their deals right at the very end of last year's window.

We shall see what the next week or two brings. Its fair to say we all hope for the same result - good players to get us out of trouble.
