Ha, I know but it's pretty impossible to get it down to 50 right? No Aladdin Sane, Blackstar, Right, Sorrow....
Can’t see Ziggy Stardust, Suffragette City or Queen Bitch. Apologies if I’ve missed them. If I haven’t, WTF??
It is difficult to get it down to fifty but to exclude Five Years is unforgivable. I think Loving The Alien should be higher up the list too. I know it's all personal taste but I think it's a very underrated track.
i've got a hell of a lot on my mp3 for gym and biking but i didnt realise just how much bowie had done until you look at the list and realise whats not on it, and i think like phil collins/genisis my favourite track depends on my mood
Just one madman who forgot about a few of my favourites e.g. Can You Hear Me, Cygnet Committee, Wild Is The Wind, Cactus, Teenage Wildlife, Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud, When I Live My Dream, Word on a Wing, Sweet Thing (live), It's no Game (no.1).. I could go on. That's a dodgy compilation. At least Fantastic Voyage got in. My fave at no. 45.
Heroes isn't number one, so it's intended to be controversial. Heroes is genius, the rest are very, very good.
If I was lined up against a wall and told I'd be shot if i couldn't name my Favourite Bowie LP, my last words would be "I can't choose between Space Oddity and Station To Station..but I 'd like to discuss this further.. .err .. it's rude to point... "
Many a drunken conversation with my dad. I grew up toddling around to Modern Love on the radio, to my dad's cassettes on in the car belting out Hunky Dory, Aladdin Sane and Station To Station. Except for the abomination that is Dancing In The Streets with Mick Jagger...
