Agreed, Shea looked a bit unconvincing but he did what was asked, won a free kick in our own box and got forward to create a chance for O'Grady. Had that gone in I wonder what people would be saying?

And yes, I am going to ask that as there's plenty of others moaning Paddy didn't get on to wrap the game up 3-0 on his own.

Still chuckling at seeing your shoulder slump when the substitution was announced at the start of the second half!
Dawson, for me, had one of his best games for Barnsley when he came. Shea did the job asked of him when replacing Proschwitz.

Not sure who I've used as a scapegoat in the past? I never had a problem with Perkins, Dawson, Etuhu, Wiseman, McNulty et al because they were being selected over another player. I just thought they were all fecking useless. This is not what is happening with Brek Shea.

I wouldn't say scapegoat, more of an avatar type creature.

A scapegoat isn't called such because they are selected at the expense of someone else. They are a scapegoat when you blame them for everything that goes wrong, regardless of the contribution of others. You do that all the time. You've even got special names for them and you've done it in this thread. That's your style, always has been. I've rarely if ever had a go at you for doing that, but if you're going to accuse others of having scapegoats then it needs pointing out that on this BBS you're probably the worst culprit.

We all do it to a certain extent, despite what we may like to believe we've got a subjective point of view not an objective one, we have players who we rate and those we don't and our analysis is influenced by those preconceived opinions, but I've never read anyone who does it to the extent you do.

Not saying you have to change, it's nowt to do with me anyway, crack on doing what you do, but the irony of your post wasn't lost on many of us and it was pretty funny.

Speak as you see it. **** at Wigan and donated little on Saturday. I personally do not class him and others as scapegoats, they are all part of our squad. It is just that some of our squad are being frozen out whilst Shea is being selected

If Cywka has the heart of a pea (not sure why that has been said) then shea has no heart at all. he's a fecking girl who seems scared stiff of the opposition. That toe prod of a shot against Wigan was pathetic.

Shea hasn't showed anything at all so far, doesn't attept to make a tackle, strolls around looking uninterested when opposition have the ball and shy's out of 50/50 balls.

    Not a patch on Cywka
