I don't understand why they seem so shocked we have yet to be beaten at their ground.

Toney could’ve quite easily have been shown 2 yellows today. Dirty get.

    Ok devil's advocate time.
Hypothetically, we brought Ethan Pinnock back up on the team bus. Which of today's starting back 3 do you drop to accommodate him?

The Brentford Facebook page is really complimentary towards us which is good to see.

That's a really interesting question. Seriously, the way they're playing, I wouldn't swap any of them out at this moment

I really rate Pinnock but to say he’s the best centre half we’ve had in 25 years is maybe a bit strong.

i’d put Stones, Mawson, Holgate and De Zeuuw ahead of Ethan. He’s good but we’ve had a proper crop of high quality centre halfs.

Some fans don’t look further than their own team. One of them said they were so poor that any championship club would have beaten them today , others questioned whether we could continue the press for the whole game, it’s like reading the same forum when we beat them in July.

We play the press, it’s common knowledge and we were on national telly doing it to good effect against Chelsea a few days ago - the pundits were loving it, yet it’s a shock when these ‘world beaters’ get turned over by us.

Excellent question. We have 4 who I would pick ahead of him.

Amazing how these people get so far up themselves after a couple of seasons above their historic level of Division 3/4.....

Completely agree, and I have very high hopes for those 4.

Even some of their own fans think that. I’ve read a few comments on their forum about expectation since the money came.

and that was the case against Chelsea. OK we lost that one but we were no means second best. The match stats showed Brentford to have the lions share of possesion as they did Chelsea. But in both games our game management was really good. I am not harbouring any hopes of they play off's, but we could do it. I certainly believe in a top ten finish, and that would be a good result for our season.

On today's performance obviosly no one but you can tell by the comments that it was a one off. If they get promoted he'll be a key reason.

Definitely off. Red lines are the existing pitch markings extended. Yellow line is where Frieser is.

What about Pinnock who is clearly yards behind the red line drawn?

I know he was playing for us yesterday but he's still wearing a red shirt.

The red line is just the 18 yard box. The yellow line is where Frieser is so pinnock would have to be between the yellow line and the keeper to play Dom onside.

I actually noticed that just after I posted. I left it up because a) it makes me look like a thicko and b) I still like the fact that Pinnock had one of his best games for Barnsley.
