We tend to use Spotify a lot on holiday - in the room on the balcony, or if I've got headphones on by the pool/beach. We've really taken back control.
I suppose it comes down to habit, my phone is almost always connected to wifi, home or holiday, in the office, mates houses, pubs etc. Which means I never touch my own data usage. Plus I read off my kindle (downloaded at home) and tend to use Apple Music playlists I’ve already downloaded all content of. I’m still a bit Cloud phobic I suppose.
Mobile operators, being money grabbing shysters, are more likely to all bring it in within a few months - especially when people start travelling again and they have to absorb the cost.
Well never know because the media are intent not to hold this Government to account . Not one of his ministers explain any **** up whatsoever eg Mr Hancock do you think your uselesss ? No I don’t think so , next question . Corbyn would never have got away with that ! All the Corbyn haters without knowing why but people such as Deetee never questions the incompetence or failures of this government but is quick to bring Corbin into discussions without rhyme nor reason nor justification , it’s as if he’s reading the popular press or Kuensberg or something . This is the most media protected prime minister in my lifetime and it’s not difficult to see why and with some people’s willingness to gloss over incompetence after incompetence. Scandal after scandal , corruption after corruption. When the **** hits the fan well have no one to turn to as well have burned all our bridges .
It is the greedy phone operators that should be getting the agro here. At least with having six months to leave EE before it starts it gives people a chance to leave them for a company not using roaming charges and they were many of them.
Absolutely it is the greedy phone providers to blame for the prices . But it’s this Governments fault we haven’t got the protections the EU demanded and unfortunately we can’t dictate what happens off our shores without support .
I can heartily recommend Smarty for a good company. I swapped from 3 to Smarty a few months ago, I was paying £21 a month for 4Gb, now am paying £9 a month for 30Gb. Unlimited data is £18. All SIM only and you get to keep your existing number. You need an unlocked phone though
As I'm not going anywhere soon it is not a major worry to me. May head over to Portugal next year to visit my best mate in Lisbon. I guess I'll be on his wifi a lot of the time. I do use Google Maps for navigation though & that uses up a fair bit of data on a long drive, as I'm likely to fly to Faro from Leeds / Bradford. A lot cheper normally than flying from Manchester to Lisbon for a whole host of reasons, mostly train fairs & hotel, as flights usually go out very early morning from Manchester to Lisbon. It's also a nice drive, with cool places to stop off, going from Faro. Last hire car I got was 35 euro for a week in January. Mobile networks will find any way they can to maximise revenues these days, as sim only contracts have been driven right down.
EE CPI+% yearly increases now happen on their sister/parent company, BT and it's spreading to other industries. Anything for a quick dollar. This as angered me like you don't know what.
