You weren’t paying any attention when the ERG and even Boris voted down a better deal than this one?

Sorry but I don’t get your point. Labour agreed to an election once it was clear that Johnson couldn’t crash us out before one was held. If the country is idiotic enough to give Johnson a mandate to take us out without a deal then I guess the country deserves what it’s letting itself in for.

The worry is that there are people who would never vote Tory but who are willing to vote Brexit Party. There’s areas that the Tories could never win in a million years (like in Barnsley) but people voting for the Brexit Party will do the Tories job just as well. The Tories don’t need to win here, they just need to stop Labour from doing so. Repeat that in a few traditional Labour constituencies and you’ve got 5 more years of Tory rule, the exact thing you’d never vote for in a million years.

It only passed its second reading. The reason it didn’t go forward is because Johnson didn’t want it to be scrutinised at committee stage. I think we are all starting to see why.

Thank you and I agree. I also think our region won't have that much of a baring on the election result. People will still vote Labour because they don't trust the Conservatives and they won't vote the Brexit party either. The leave voting Labour voters will take their chance of Brexit through a second referendum.

Yes, and deal was passed through parliament to the 2nd reading, then Tories then pulled it because they wanted to ram it through with little discussion and zero amendments. Then when they realised they didnt want that, they went for a GE because is they manage to get a majority they can then wipe the floor with workers rights etc.

They are Tories, it's what they do. They care about big business and deregulation. History tells is as much.

    They didn't win.

It shouldn't be a surprise that a manifesto is what you'd attempt to achieve if you win. If they'd have won, they'd have negotiated a deal that they could support, you can't expect them to support a deal that's a million miles from their aims.

If 68% of people voting in Barnsley voted Leave, should I care whether the Tories get in or not? Won't folks reap what they sow?

You seen Team America when they make Matt Damon look proper retarded and can only say his name? That's what I think a few on here are probably like in real life.
