How can you consider yourself to be a gentleman?

You have posted God knows how many threads about Football violence and inciting people to attack Brian Howard and Morgan. That does not show me anything other than that you are a thug.

RE: If I were Brian Howard............in a way that Danny Wilson did

A gent?? Don't you mean a two faced little ****** who said only a few days earlier he wasn't going to leave Barnsley for anywhere and would be signing a new contract at Oakwell?

But this is a kick in the teeth,no?

In Sheff U prog, and also in Sheffield Star last night

Brian Howard talking about being in a pub in Southampton on day of Barnsley - Blades game:

"It sounded like an eventful game and anyone who didn't know me was looking at me pretty funny when I was jumping about every time a Beattie goal went in."

This is the fellow that said how proud he was to take over the Club Captain's slot from Paul Reid. He has demonstrated what he really is.

    A Sheffield United player.

But I think he wanted Barnsley to lose when he played for us.

    RE: A Sheffield United player.

Given the amount of vitriol spouted at him on here over the last few months, why would he speak about Barnsley in glowing terms?

SHOCK STORY! FOOTBALLER HAS NO LAYALTY TO CLUB!!

why all the surprise? if i remember rightly he openly admitted he signed for us rather than bournemouth cos we offered more money. why are we surprised when he leaves us for sheff u?
he is not from barnsley. if another company offered me double money i would move tomorrow and tell the world how wonderful they are

Better off without him anyway. If he still wanted to play for the club then he would be an asset but the sulky Howard we got this season was a liability. He wants to go so I will thank him for the performances before this season and say "now **** off". I don't blame him, he has no reason to show loyalty to BFC, he isn't a fan like we are, who love the club. He is a professional who is doing what he thinks right in his career. He wants success and money so he bases his decisions on those. But his attitude since he went to SU, still a BFC player mind, and his performances this season for us mean we really don't miss him.

    Its still possible

to retain a little respect and dignity even if one moves on for more money, though apparently not in the case of BH.

Had he "put in a shift" this season for us instead of lining up his escape then I might have had more time for him.

    So be it

We've moved on. He's done his shift for Barnsley.

If he wants to pillock that, then thats his lookout. These days footballers follow the money

One thing I always respected Ronaldo for, no matter how much he earned, was how he wouldn't celebrate a goal against Sporting Lisbon.

If Howie wants to follow a different path, more fool him. I hope Utd fans appreciate it

Like you say, he's not a fan like us. If I could go to another company to do the same job and get paid twice as much, then I would be off, no hesitation. Loyalty doesn't come into it for the players - it's their career.

I didn't hear the interview with Howard so can't really comment on what he said. I am sure he does speak well of the club at times, but if asked the right questions he will give the answers as a SU player. From his point of view he left on bad terms so he might not think much of the club. Like I say he has no loyalty to the club, he will speak as he sees. I am sure his bad feeling towards the club will not extend to the fans though.
