New vehicle

on the horizon. Thanks to Gordon Brown.

Forest should be on the list, and KeepMoat if they manage it. Avoiding Hillsboro of course.

John Dennis.......you only have to look at the ground and the academy to see that

................your statement is utter foooking rubbish

OK, Pat Cryne saved the club and (hopefully) we have good times ahead
But Pat Cryne hasen't built the current stadium and academy.....................John Dennis did that
and he did it with good mangement by selling and using the money to build, not because he is awash with money, cos he aint.........
Unfortunatly he made some poor mistakes towards the end of his era when he ought to have brought Pat Cryne and Shep in sooner.........but all in all he did a great job

Nudger .... wake up and smell the gravy .........

......... the ground was re-developed cos it HAD to be or it would have been shut down after the Hillsbrough disaster/Taylor report cos it was mostly terracing, and we were given a grant towards it, plus we sold our best players to pay for it - it was nowt to do with shrewd decisions by John Dennis, we wouldn't have made the improvements if we had a choice.

Also the Academy is no great legacy is it? **** me it's cost us tens of millions and produced nothing. We were better off with our Northern Intermediate team.

And who sold the club and the shareholders down the river to a bunch of skint, property developers that nearly cost us our football club? Don't get me started on JD - you will be telling me next that the appointment of Viv Anderson was a stroke of genius because he brought Danny Wilson to the club .... and nearly got us relegated into the bargain ........... then that the appointment of Danny Wilson was a stroke of genius, as opposed to a huge stroke of luck from the cheapest possible option ....... I could go on ........ John Dennis my fooking arse

Plus read 'Life at the Top'

Gives an insight into how we performed off-field, and the attitude prevailing at the club at the time.

Danny Wilson had to pester to get the manager's job. It brought success - how that success was 'managed' nearly ended up with a housing estate on Oakwell.

This subject crops up every few months ....... and each...

..... time it makes my fooking blood boil even more .......... he re-developed the ground, he got us in the Premier League, he developed the Academy ..... he sold us down the river for a few gold coins more like ......... so many fools with their heads stuck up their own arses, did we really go into Administration, was it real or was it just my nightmare??
