No because most people have more to worry about in life than where an ex player decides to spend his time. I hope the people who give him stick for doing such a thing show as much determination with meaningful things.
This type of thing won't help attract footballers to the club. Nutty aggressive fans who can bear a grudge at the drop of a hat... would you want to enter that world?
I agree with Nudger on this one................ Howard got no respect from me when he left. Especially after i saw him on soccer am.
You do come across a bit naive at times DB3k. There's a world of difference between how me or you would respond to Bri being around town and how drink fuelled cretins react. It's a shame but it's called life.
RE: This type of thing No - but most other players wouldn't continue to drink around a small town AFTER they leave a club in bitter circumstances. It's bizarre.
But people find it easier to remember the bad, forget the good and not the other way around. No doubt some gob off just to get a reaction so they can tell their mates they had an altercation with Howard.
Yup... we have a huge great Bri at his best hole after all the team was built to his strengths, but we aint ever gonna be in the Prem in his playing life time so just like most of us he 1. is ambitious 2. wanted to sell his talents to the highest bidder Oh and happen, just happen he stayed local cos.... HE LOVES TARN. Maybe not BFC but TARN
I would say Howard is risking it going round TARN on Setdi neet .............he only needs to drop on the wrong bunch and he could find himself unfit to play the following setdi Probably a coincidence he were round TARN when the home game was posponed.......or was it ? But it would definitly spoil my neet out in Barnsley if I saw that sniffeling little pile of /poo laughing and joking in a boozer (puke)
Come on dreamy, use some different facts... Why is it that every arguement about Howard this comment comes out? Do people forget that we actually scored 2 goals and for me the goal by FOSTER - yes there was another goalscorer on that day - was more important than his. If Devaney had not swung that great cross over Foster would not have scored and we would have still been behind and probably gone on to be arseholed If Kozluk and Hassell and not thrown everything in front of the countless amounts of shots Liverpool had then the score would have been massive towards Liverpool. If Luke Steele had not pulled off some great saves on his debut then once again the score would have been massive in Liverpool's favour There was more than just one man that helped us win that game. Apart from score the goal what actually did Howard do? He was lucky that the ref didnt give the penalty as he would have probably froze in front of the Kop. If he hadn't chased the ref then he wouldn't have been in that position the receive the ball Why can't people just forget about Howard. He DID NOT want to play for us and wanted to play for Sheff Utd. He WONT be coming back so move on, just like he has And as for him going out around town he has the right to do so like any other man Can we just concentrate in getting behind the players we have NOW Rant over
Now spending Sheffield money in Barnsley economy. Still chooses to live in Barnsley not Sheffield. How many of our players live and spend money in Barnsley? Most of the wages we pay them ends up in Leeds, Sheffield or Manchester. Think about it when trudging round Meadowhell keeping dee dars in work.
