Passed his best? Did you see him at Oakwell last season; he was streets ahead of any player we had on the pitch.
I saw our team last season , we would have made les harris and john manning look good ...................past his best.
I cannot imagine he's in any way shape or form a Keith Hill type player. Unless KH has taken leave of his senses there is more chance of me turning out f't reds then that fat, slow billy big boytes.
Not sure to be honest I'm a believer in never going back, just a few examples of players who were poor second time round:- David Curry - may not have been his fault though, Machin never played him in the right position Ian Banks - a mere shadow of the younger version Trevor Aylott - never saw him in the second spell but can't have been great, 9 games and no goals. Paul Hayes - oh dear The only real exception I can think of is Stuart Barrowclough but then he only played 9 games before we sold him to Newcastle and he was fantastic when he came back.
Re: Not sure to be honest I'd have him back tomorrow. Would definitely be an improvement on our current creative midfielders available
Re: Not sure to be honest Would love to see him back in the middle of the park, just whats we need with butts injured and Drinkwater gone!
Very true. With us he was a first team regular, club captain and got to the FA Cup semi final. Since then he's been at a couple of clubs without success and hasn't played as much as he did with us. If he did come back about half of whatever he was on first time around would be about right.
Re: Not sure to be honest He could do a job for us educate young players on the field to get in the right positions, and develop as a player.secondly Brain has something to prove, that he CAN do well for this club as a TEAM player
