It also requires people to take personal responsibility for their own actions. How often do we hear "Oh well it will never work because no one will do it" ? To a large degree that's about people using others as an excuse not to do something. The human race relies on communism, not in the political sense of the word just in the basic understanding of doing what's needed to survive. Communism is closer to the basic principles of Chritianity than most people think. And interestingly Marx's views were far more complicated than often believed when it comes to religion.

So somebody earning pays taxes which are used to help those less well off.
