I think that's the general consensus, not controversial at all. I've said it before, the technology isn't the problem, it's the people using it and the rules which were designed before the technology existed that need addressing. The whole 'clear and obvious' thing is still subjective, meaning you'll get a different outcome depending on who the referee is. My argument has always been, you've got to draw the line somewhere, literally. I agree that the daylight thing could be the way to go, but then there could be daylight between bodies, but not the feet, and vise versa. I don't honestly know what the solution is, but I don't think scrapping the tech is helpful, simply because we as humans are still prone to make errors, even when using it.
