It was a lot worse yesterday than ever before though because of the extra stress they've put on it by the stupid closures of other access to the ground

We seem to have regular issues down to Ticketmaster. Can we not get shut of them and use a more reliable company?

    As posted in another thread:

What i would say is the only noticeable matchday experience improvement has been predominantly organised by fans (some on here i think) and that wasnt available yesterday. Thats the fanzone.
The scoreboard not working has been an ongoing issue for god knows how long. How the club havent managed to fix (let alone upgrade) that while weve been away is a shame.. (obviously unsure of upgrade cost)
The fact the seats and stands were generally filthy was the major concern.. considering the covid environment, a clean/disinfect is surely the least to expect. I saw 2 hand sanitiser stations fixed to walls on the way to my seat. The one i tried to use was empty. But didnt actually have a bag inside so hadnt been stocked initially.
Personally i think it was poor yesterday. Club might try and always achieve the best.. but in my opinion, yesterday they fell short. Well short.

Surely if the barcode number is typed in and doing that works, that's replicating a scan, so the card must be loaded.

Or that the QR hasn’t been linked to the number

Think it should be first thing on agenda Monday morning otherwise I think you will be swamped with phone calls and folk complaining at the box office.

Not a very good first impression for the new supporters we all try to encourage to Oakwell.

I left my DN14 post code at 1:55pm so I could watch as many of the Man Utd goals and Leeds United fans’ tears as possible.

Parked on Ponty road not far off the entrance to the East Stand, walked five minutes to Oakwell, walked straight in to the Ponty End, both tickets scanned, and I sat down exactly at the time we kicked off.

Left 30 seconds before the end (saw the penalty), span the car round and was back home for 5:50pm. Couldn’t have asked for it to be any better.

Strange thread. There were clearly some people who had a bad experience and some whose day went well. Neither angle justifies either is right or wrong or patronising comments to just come earlier. I do know mine wasn't good. Having followed tried and tested approach for years i had to change plans to accommodate the clubs late changes. The club did well to even get the game on so i accept the changes. Travelling from Manchester i had planned to get a lift in to ground and set off earlier than usual.

Traffic congestion Ponte Rd. Decided to get out and walk up. All OK 45 mins to kick off. No walk in access from the emergency service access (thought it was just closed to traffic). OK still plenty of time. Police realised they wouldn't get away fans to ground on time so let em off the coaches on Ponte Rd. i guess they should have escorted them in earlier !! Cue the trouble near the burger stand.

Ok more hold ups but still 25 mins to kick off. Then the turnstiles queues. So we weave in and out if the cars people stepping in midway but this clearly as no-one could figure where queue started.

No ticket scanning. Got in on what i thought was the kick off until i realised walking in from concourse it was min silence. There were hundreds still outside.

so at this point was it a good game day experience. No. I could add a few more issues but they have been mentioned everywhere. Its ok to tolerate issues. But lets not forget what caused them in first place.

There were quite a few things that hindered the match day experience for us. Barely being able to see any of the second half because people just want to stand up throughout didn’t help. The concourse for the ponty end isn’t big enough for the size of the stand. And it took an age to get off the car park and away.
As an outsider, for who the stadium is really the only part of the town I’m familiar with, I booked for the car park before they announced the restrictions. I’ll need to find out about car parks in town before my next visit.
Thing is, there’s not much the club can do about these things, I’ll just need to get my ticket earlier for a better view and find somewhere else to park.
