I signed up to the FSA and get regular emails from them. The recent ones have had a section about their safe standing campaign mentioning the clubs which support it. When I got the last email (about 3 weeks ago), I wrote to BFC asking them if they would consider backing the campaign, so far with no response.

If everyone on here writes to them maybe they will take notice?

Rubbish, complete and utter rubbish. There is nothing wrong with standing at football matches and it would not change the stadium one iota. They have safe standing in Germany and when necessary the standing areas can be used for seating. This is not in any way a "moronic" idea.

    Grow up.

The cost is small, the seats are replaced with barriers with a flip down seat leaving the concrete base untouched. This also prevents any chance of crowd surges etc which is one of the main objections to standing. Have a look at this:-

There are 2 steps in each row there, I believe in the East stand it's one step...the set up is different to accomodate the standing, also, if it's a standing area what's the point of the seats? The reason they do that in Germany is because areas have to be seated for UEFA competitions.

IF people want standing that's up to them, I personally don't, but it would introduce a cost to the club to implement this at a time when we are strapped for cash. Even if the government allowed standing i very much doubt our club would make any changes.
