I patronised the "Bag o' Nails" the other week, and "The Strawberry Thief"; talk about chalk and Roquefort...

I'd like to think it won't. Horrible club, horrible manager, horrible fans, horrible city. Hope you're relegated. Ciao.

Cheers mucker, appreciated. However Bristol is actually a very nice city, and how I wish I could move back there.

Doubt it when Lee was here he was head coach. His roles was just to pick the team, the formation ect ect. We have a recruitment team with a philosophy who target certain type of players. Lee Jay had the final say on who came in but didn't scout them before the recruitment team as far as I'm aware. So no is you answer I think he was resonsible for bringing Connor wilkins on to barnsley though as he had worked with him at oldham. One of the worst strikers I have ever seen.

It is a nice enough city. Not sure why some of our fans are slagging it. Has its fair share of **** holes like most cities but a lot of nice spots too.

However Lee Johnson really is not the messiah. We should have sacked him. He really was one of the worst managers I've seen. Had he not been forced into playing 4-4-2 and being forced to take Adam Hammill - two things he repeatedly (according to someone I trust) bucked against we may well be in L2 now not the championship. I can't wish him well at all. with the millions he has to spends he would have to be one of the worst managers in history to have you in the bottom half. I imagine we'll see you in the bottom half. You ll probably finish above us. Unless that clown really does cause a circus.

To be fair to Lee Jay before he left not many wanted him to go to bristol. We was on a great run beating teams for fun. Admittedly earlier on he only kept his job because he had a 3 year deal and we would have had to pay him out. But he turned it around and even at his worst his football was better than what Wilson served up previously in his worst spell. We were getting beat under Lee Jay 8 in a row in fact but we were unlucky at times.

I do however fear that because we've spent almost 10 mil we're going to have to cancel it out with a sale of Kodjia, who we're asking 11 million for. Quite frankly ridiculous money.

Were you reading this board with your eyes closed?

The feelings were a mixture of laughter disbelief that Bristol city were stupid enough to pay for "LJ" and relief we'd managed to get him out of our club without it costing us a penny. I don't mremember anyone being sad to see the back of that bullshitting little dwarf. Getting rid of "LJ" and Mansford are two of the best pieces of business our football club has completed.

Definitely, I love Bristol as a city. Got a lot of friends there and always look forward to visiting. However, with regards to Lee Johnson, I'm pretty sure his good form with you won't last. He's fine when things are going well, full of enthusiasm and self belief. But when things start going wrong, he seems completely incapable of changing things, with the self-belief appearing to transform into a bloody-minded stubbornness which benefits nobody. You have been warned.

He had just took us to jpt final and we were on a great run in the league. Many were glad to see the back of him but I remember alot on here and social media were sad to see him go as he looked to have turned it round.

If he had kept playing HIS football and HIS tactics, we'd probably be in League Two by now.

i also think it was disappointing the way it came about, immediately after our Jpt penalty shoot out win at fleetwood.
he was off and it sounded like he'd agreed to the bristol job before he'd even left oakwell. i think he was lucky to have stayed here as long as he did, but he showed nothing like the same loyalty to us that we'd shown to him despite that disgraceful run of results and performances, which would have cost most other managers their jobs.

I remember actually jumping about when I heard Bristol were actually willing to take him. I thought we were stuck with him for good.

They're a special bunch that Brizzle lot, always willing to take one for the team. First Johnson and now Brownhill. Their generosity knows no end.

Brownhill who was a regular starter in a top form side. I hoped we would sign him but just my opinion of course. I thought alot of others felt the same but because he went to brizzle for a few extra quid he is **** right?

Don't worry about the locals Briz. I think many would have Brownhill back, though I think he has a very steep learning curve ahead of him in the championship.

I don't know anyone who would have Pasquale back though. Maybe he has learned, but Oldham fans warned us at the first sign of a winless streak he'd fail to adapt and just tinker around the edges. He also has a tendency to harm player confidence in how he picks at them in press conferences. But best of luck.

Love Bristol and often find a bank holiday to visit. Was due to go a few weeks ago, but thankfully was able to cancel and visit wembley instead! Maybe August ;-)
