I know he has. In fact two have I think I'm saying I'd understand why an Asian shopkeeper would want to stay out of it
I don't. A white bloke saying it is under as much threat for putting the spotlight on them. And it's been reported as "something like" 'put Britain first'
But if the guy did actually say it, then he wanted people to associate it with Britain First right? So why would he feel threatened for doing what the guy wanted in the first place? Unless you mean consequences from the general public, rather than from Britain First.
Jo Cox campaigned for the admission of Syrian Children at risk. Do your research before making a total tit out of yourself, Gloria. "We all know that the vast majority of the terrified, friendless and profoundly vulnerable child refugees scattered across Europe tonight came from Syria. We also know that as that conflict enters its sixth barbaric year that desperate Syrian families are being forced to make an impossible decision: stay and face starvation, rape, persecution and death or make a perilous journey to find sanctuary elsewhere. And who can blame desperate parents for wanting to escape the horror that their families are experiencing. The reality in which children are being killed on their way to school, where children as young as seven are being forcibly recruited to the front line and where one in three Syrian children have grown up knowing nothing but fear and war. These children have been exposed to things no child should ever witness and I know I personally would risk life and limb to get my two precious babies out of that hell-hole."
You know, in all this time I never read Gloria's name that way. It took a moment for it to click what you were on about
I mean the consequences for the shopkeeper for saying what he heard EN is right too, the white blokes bearing witness will be in line too
Well said..... What a terrible day for our country when something like this has happened seemingly because of a lady trying to help people escape from death or a life of fear.
You're right, that isn't what you said. You just said something that was equally as stupid and offensive.
It wasn't just children she campaigned for. She founded and chaired the all-party parliamentary group Friends of Syria. If the killer was politically-motivated then you can see why he would target her. And yes I think she was dangerous (Syrians coming into Britain means more Sunni Muslims and more child-groomers) but no I don't condone murder because it's wrong and it wouldn't achieve anything anyway, she'll just be replaced by another similar MP and there will be a backlash against your cause, so it's totally self-defeating.
I have no wish to discuss this with you. Your views are disgusting. Basically Ill informed bigots spout bile and people die. That's the story of events like this and defending it for any reason is just putrid.
I've always discouraged violence, both online and in RL, and stopped it as well, you think these people are going to listen to lefties and people like you?
I never thought it would happen. I think you've offended me. I think I feel offended. I may well have taken offence. I didn't know I had it in me. You have every right to do that, to say whatever you like, but I didn't think it was possible to get so low and shitty that it would actually offend me. You're perfectly entitled to your views and I'm sure this incident will provoke a lot of discussion for many months to come, but you're really not doing yourself any favours with what you're saying, so soon after what the majority see as a tragic loss of life, not of a political campaigner, but of someone's beloved wife, someone's daughter, and the mum of two young kids. Think on for a minute.
Apologies for upsetting people in this thread, it was too early to be discussing things like I was. The Guardian and the Remain campaign should also apologise for exploiting her death for political purposes before her body is even cold.
