    Challenge of someone who's not a defensive player. He didn't have to make it as Southend were going nowhere. It was a poor challenge with a trailing left leg that was showing studs and resulted in their player needing a good few minutes of treatment.

    I don't know if this has any bearing on a ref's performance, but a fair few times this season the ref has officiated way more games for the opposition then they have for us. Take today for example, 9 games officiated Southend and just 2 for us. Biased maybe?

    The challenge on Cavare near the corner flag was more dangerous and with intent to injure the opponent!!! Referee didn’t even have a word!!

    Once again a shocking performance from a referee but I can’t help thinking it’s because we Are a soft touch, no arguments, no protests, no histrionics and no confrontation at half time by our manager!

    We are doing it the right way but we should be advising referees of this!!
