Think we did, although I've just realised it was LJ who got Winnall rotating his neck correctly so it could be a go'er.
Agreed. It would be low base fee of around 200k with add ons to take it upto 500k mark I would have thought. He's a good player and if you check the statistics with him in the team it makes for interesting reading.
Plenty more fish in the sea even if we don't go up A year ago we were all desperate to sign Devante Cole and John O'Sullivan. Now we wouldn't have them given As for our own players, we may lose one or two, but as long as we don't lose more, we're still well set. After all we've signed lots of players for the future who haven't played much yet probably in the knowledge that at some point, the likes of Hourihane and Winnall will leave. Hopefully not at the same time though!
Id have them both back thanks, theyd have to wait their turn but both are very good players for this level, not quite sure whats gone wrong with Devante over the last year like.
I doubt Winnall will get his head-turned by Bristol City. According to LJ, he wasn't very good at it, which is why he had to get LJ's help on head rotation!
I genuinely think he'd have been gone last summer had the fans not made it very clear how much we loved him.
Yeah, can see where your coming from with that. I thought the same might happen in January, especially with the Leeds "bid". Thankfully he doesn't seem to be driven by his agent to push for a move. And he's loved here, by most of us anyway. Sent from my SM-T710 using Tapatalk
Brownhill I reckon won't be back. Hammill will be as long as we go up otherwise he will go for another career payday. Fletcher I can see back on loan only if we go up. Same with Isgrove but for me jury is still out on him.
Thank you. I'm not doubting that he gives 100%, plays well in the team etc. The one and only thing is goals. 20 odd games at this level no goals doesn't give you the confidence that would change if we got promoted. We've got to look at the bigger picture. Maybe he will step up but what I don't want if we do go up is everyone who's here this season still being here next season. That would smack of the old Flicker/Huddersfield situation of showing too much loyalty to certain people instead of looking for players of a level above.
I think our current first 11 would be just fine In the championship. More like the side that went up under Hunter than the one that went up under Ritchie or stayed up under Fiicker. Not saying we don't need to improve our squad but we don't need to panic if we can keep most of the side
