Glad I'm not alone in my thoughts.

I wasn't digging him out or owt. He seems a nice bloke from the posts he makes. But from the same posts he comes across as lacking patience at best, or at worst he doesn't like/rate/want this manager in charge.

If that isn't the case, then either I'm piss poor at reading/interpreting posts or he's unintentionally portraying his views in the wrong manner.

At work I get judged (and paid) based on the levels the kids get on a 12 month cycle. If I went on supply and took over a class of kids for the last half term, I wouldn't expect to be judged on their levels at the end of the year and have my pay docked if they hadn't met end of year expectations because of someone else's teaching style.

While the product is more Sh@t than good his position will always be under scrutiny as it was with Hill Flitcroft and co.
It's what you get being a football manager. Thankless job and one I certainly wouldn't want.

And by the way I hate arguing but don't mind debating.

I apologize for having a go at you. Frustration and all that.

If are paths cross remind me to buy you a pint!

No need to apologize, I'm a reight argumentative twwat.

But that's my point, mate. Look at the thread on managers we've had and the length of their respective tenures. It's time - in my opinion - to back a man, stick with it in the long term. I reckon we should do it with this one. And so I'll argue my point. Not saying it's right, but it's how I feel.

If we get smashed up again today, and the results continue like that into November then no amount of calls for patience from me will make a difference, the owner of the club makes the decisions and history tells us he'll get rid.

And if you do meet me, don't buy me a pint if I've already had more than three. :)

For the avoidance of doubt, I'm definitely not in the DW out camp. I am however concerned that despite all the recruitment we still don't appear to have a strong leader in CM or at the back (or preferably both). It perplexes me that, considering how Danny's great 96-97 team was built around Redders and De Zeeuw, to name but two. Let's hope things look brighter this afternoon - and consistently thereafter!
