I usually pay little attention to the bundesliga (my foreign football to follow is mainly Italian and Spanish) but decided RB Leipzig were “my team”. No fans makes it weird, I’m sure it would be different if I was watching us with no fans but it is still strange. At half time a Freiburg player picked the ball up and handed it to the ref, I’m not sure how it works, do they then anti bac the ball at half time?
I watched Borussia Dortmund beat Schalke 4-0. Only 350 people in the ground. Everything went OK until a Schalke player walking over to take a corner was spitting. What a numpty.
Just watched the Hoffenhein v Hertha Berlin game, Berlin players hugging each other when they scored, social distance of about 1 inch
Impressed with Dortmund , wing backs and big centre forward , enjoyed it . Schalke keeper though had a shocker
Does it really bother people there been no fans there when watching on TV? Can’t say it bothers me, most of the time the atmospheres are pretty flat anyway & especially when the games are on in the daytime on a weekend I can’t hear much anyway with family about. It’s very rare I watch a match & the atmosphere is noticeable, big European nights like Liverpool overturning Barca was loud but a lot of the time it’s almost polite applause these days.
