RE: we can stop him - he's under contract!

but would it be worth it?? if his heart is set on it I reckon we bite the bullet and let him go-we just need a replacement for Sat as Howard is banned-possibly Hassell for one game ??

very fair-I for one wish him well.............

and hope we got lots of lolly!!! who can we afford wages wise now-a fringe Prem player on loan perhaps-or maybe Ritchie thinks we are OK with Howard-as he said previously a loan player coming in would expect to start games so maybe he won't bother

Doesn't seem like we have much choice

Other than just telling him he's just not going and I can't see what good that would do. I reckon Ritchie has handled it all very well.

Best of luck to Burns, he really upped his game this season (maybe we should also thank Ritchie for that) but I've got to say I'm really disappointed in him. I think he's kidding himself if he thinks he can force his way into the Australian World Cup squad. I think going to Poland would be a trerrible move for him. And I think he should have shown some loyalty for these last couple of months and helped the club that offered him a contract and gave him a wage when no one else was interested.

    Ok then we should.

I'm sure he'll bust a gut for the rest of his contract.

Figuratively speaking we can't stop him. Not without a knock on effect.

He did well for us but Howard is a better player and will now get the chance he deserves.

I'd like to have seen the cover arranged before his departure.....

...especially as we have a six-pointer on Saturday.

I think handling it well would have gone something like, "Yeah ok Jacob, you can bail out after the Swansea match."

Are we still interested in Andy Monkhouse from Rotherham?

    Is he fit?

    That would've been ideal

But his new employees may have put a stop to him playing. Who knows.

    trouble with that is..................

an injury might wreck the deal so he's not fully committed to the tackle etc so best all round he doesn't play tonight as well

He's a winger Crystal and we've got an abundance of them now having just signed Nix.

We need a strong DEFENSIVE midfielder now and Horlock wouldfit the bill. He's a nasty buggar.

Once a deal is in the offing, few clubs play the player involved.

    Thats player loyalty for you.

Still under contract with a very good chance of promotion and we get "Stuff you loyal Reds Fans I'm off".

I agree that Ritchie has done the best he can in this situation but Burns seems to be the only winner. It would have been nice if it had hit him in his pocket.

He's gone now - that's it as far as I'm concerned. Howard gets his chance but pleeeeeeeeease Andy, do not move Kay to midfield

presumably part of the deal is that the rest of his contract is either not paid or is paid by Krakow
