So, tomorrow, I'm going, tail between my legs & beg for forgiveness. I still want to look after our flag, Wish me luck.
Well, been as badly as a dog, so sent the club an e-mail, I am banned until I go for a meeting to discuss my behaviour. No longer the flag man which is sad, we'll see what the out come will be.
Just spend tonight watching YouTube videos on Tourette’s syndrome…then in the meeting tell them how f**king sorry you are and that you just can’t help swearing at the lazy t**ts on the field but you have this condition.
Making you watch Josh Windass heartbreaking Wembley goal on repeat for an hour, should be the end of it.
If that is genuinely their attitude then that is disgraceful. As a club we've long run out of feet to shoot ourselves in.
A few years ago I sat next to a guy who appeared to have "workplace Tourettes". He started off perfectly normally, but by mid-morning every second word was a profanity. Afternoons were worse!
A meeting with who?....... Are they going to arrange meetings with every other fan who use bad language?
I like how they reply to an email like that straight away, but anything about the new shirts, the car park, the renewal of season passes or the West Stand then you don't get a peep. Were quickly turning into a right shower.
You are clearly known round the club with the time and effort you put in with the flag, surly someone can vouch for you. You clearly acknowledge you were out of line and to be treated in my opinion like a naughty school boy is a bit much, been a Barnsley fan is tough at times and we're all lost our rag from time to time I know I have. Hope this is sorted and you can go back to doing the grand job you do with the flag.
Was it just a bit of bad language or 5 mins of abusing players in a restricted area including when Williams came to speak to him? Ive heard a slightly different description of the incident from others in the West Stand. I get it was an awful display but if what I heard is accurate, a discussion with the club about future behaviour is really the minimum the OP should expect. I think a ban until a fan goes to speak to the safety officer is pretty standard for disciplinary matters. Plenty of people witnessed it I believe
