Re: Don't want them You don't think that improving the matchday experience for customers is a good thing? And his ideas weren't visionary, thats my point, they were common sense things that a good businessman would/should be implementing into a struggling business.
Re: Don't want them Sean Lewis was a front man. He didn't know we had a football club. Didn't know his actual arse from his elbow
Re: Don't want them Worst post of the weekend. That has loved me right out. Go to your room and don't come out until you have grasped the basics.
Re: Don't want them No I don't, why are you so fcking obsessed with it? Here's your seat there's the match - just get on with it! I don't want some gobshite with a microphone talking bollacks or crap pop songs blasting out, stopping me chatting to a pal about THE GAME. This is why the young uns understanding of football is so limited, they don't think for themselves - just swallow the fcking package deal whole. While I'm here, Sean Lewis was just a patsy fronting a corrupt takeover that nearly finished our club. We were all going who the fck is this cnt? Plasma tvs, shouldn't we be thinking about how to pay our PLAYERS?
Re: Don't want them Your lack of understanding astounds me for someone who is supposedly quite intelligent. Do you not realise that increasing revenue allows you to pay your PLAYERS? Or do you think the money grows on trees?
Fact is... ...that if there is any truth in these rumours, then we will have little choice in the matter. So, let's just hope that Mr Cryne does the right thing by the club (which as a fan I'm sure he will) and only sells to a buyer who has honourable intentions. As others have posted, this is all a big 'if' at the moment, but I don't want the soul ripping out of our club. The whole reason I support my home town team is because it is in my blood, because I can relate to it, and because when we have our occasional good days (like yesterday) it feels great and makes me proud. If that is taken away from me, then my final mote of love for football will have gone the same way as my feelings for the England team and the Premier League. Also, any new owners must keep Hill and Flicker without doubt. They are the best thing to happen to BFC in a long time.
how much revenue do you actually think would be generated from these plasma screens????......no more than the hordings that are all over the place now imo... I cant see the sreening of old matches before kickoff bringing the crowds in,,,good football and good results will do that.
Re: Don't want them "Sean Lewis was the man for us if only he'd had some money." Your words, not mine. - Now stop it, I'm depressed. :frown:
Re: Don't want them I believe that the ground, car parks and facilities are owned 50/50 by the Local Authority and Patrick. The football side is a separate company. So, who would be selling what?

Re: Don't want them Cash windfall for BMBC - can't see them objecting in the current financial situation - can imagine there's pressure to sell.
Re: Don't want them The point that everyone seems to be missing is that as PC's re-trial has now been set for October 2013, he is unable to invest any funds, or indeed take any out, as these would be perceived as being proceeds of crime (as against proceeds of Cryne -sorry!!). There will be an order on him restricting his cash movements until the case is settled - hence the reason BFC were told - "no more money" - you'll have to pay your own way now! We made £80k profit last season(thanks to Vaz Te), and whilst it is very commendable(and very rare) for any football club to make money, this is a fact of life for Barnsley that we are sailing close to the wind. So if we did receive several millions from an investor, it would be frozen by the PoC team until at least the end of 2013
I'll believe it when it happens I'd hate our club to go down the route of Cardiff & Watford and I certainly don't want our manager replacing.
