    the board were far more informative back then. I learnt loads of stuff, like for example, when using a poker, "How not to cause a puther".

    The original BBS came online in October 1997. Not sure when I first used it but I hardly ever posted back then.

    Radders, Johnny WIG and Matt had sites...

    ... and I think Dazza had one too. Radders bought the barnsleyfc.co.uk domain name (that was later given to the club FFS!). We had a meeting in the Old No. 7 and merged them (after a fashion) We located to other domain names such as uredz.co.uk and others and then this one came along after Tommys demise.

    Radders, Matts and Johnny WIG's.

    Joint purchase of the BarnsleyFC.co.uk by me, Lou, Radders,
    Matt, Tuffers and Bob. I can't remember if Airy were part of
    that an all... he may have been.

    The "sale" to the club was part of a deal where we also ran the
    fans part of the official site. It all seemed a good idea at the time.
    One of the best bits was Spinksy having to come to terms with
    negotiating with a woman !! Lou headed our delegation after he
    had been threatening to sue us for the domain name. Sure he
    was expecting 15 year olds... but he got us old gimmers :)
