    I don't know about you

    But if I only spoke about the most important thing in my life I'd have very few conversations. I talk about a wide variety of issues, this was just one of them. The content of the posts that were deleted may have been trivial, but I personally don't believe the resulting censorship is.

    But there is a very blurred line regarding censorship

    If anyone posts on here something that can be considered racist you are the first to ask the Site Admin team to remove it
    - but somewhere there is a line between blatant racism and discussion of racial issues we have to make a judgement about where that line is - or ban any discussion at all - cencorship - no matter where we put the line some people will be unhappy

    If anyone posts something on here which libels an employee of the club its likely the Admin team are requested to remove that
    Again there is a line between legitamate discussion and crisicism of the club and inappropriate character assasination

    If someone posts links to or pictures from a hard core porn site -the majority of posters expect the Admin to remove it
    Where is the line between clearly hard core porn and things found in daily newspapers


    etc. etc ad infinitum

    We dont employ a legal team to make the decisions its down to the volunteers who run the website to make the call, usually the majority of posters agree, - occasionally we will get it wrong - get over it - this is principally a football forum - its hardly life or death if a post is removed which some maybe even the majority think should have been left. especially as in the case that has sparked off the recent debate, in fact it it has drawn more attention than it would had it been left in the first place

    You are right of course but that is what I don't understand

    The situations that you have highlighted and the one that occured the other day are so far apart that it is hard to even compare them though.

    There are quite obvious reason's why racism, hardcore porn, libel etc should be removed and I don't think that anyone can argue with them, although as you say, peoples opinions on where that line is drawn will differ.

    The difference with the Tommy Tyke situation is that there is no libel, no racism, no hardcore sex, no pictures at all, just a report on something that HAS happened and peoples on opinion on it.

    What I find most disturbing is that people condemning ANY other paedophile is acceptable yet when it is Corke the rules suddenly change. As of yet, not one member of site admin has been able to offer any kind of explanation or even possible causes of it being deleted.

    libel? no
    racism? no
    offensive images? no
    offensive content? not offensive to anyone other than a convicted paedophile.

    But there it is isn't it, it is offensive to Chris Corke and THAT is why it was treated differently to all other posts on this forum. Whoever took it down and then left the rest of site admin to take the flak should be ashamed at their double standards

    I think people who grow illegal drugs are just as bad.

    There does appear to be some sort of remarkable double standards applied on this forum.

    I requested a link to a hardcore porn site was taken down, it wasnt. Yet the thread regarding Tommy Tyke was removed.

    Perhaps the member of site admin who removed said thread could be big enough to say who it was and their rationale behind it.

    I wont hold my breath though.

    And how did you notify us

    If there was a link to hard core porn it should have been removed.

    Of course there is a grey area beteen page 3 and hard core and its possible your link fell into that category but without knowing the thread I cant say if thats the case or if its one that just got missed

    As you made an accusation that I am uncomfortable with -

    I dont condone posting of Hard core porn on here and dont beleive any other admin's do either. I have tried to find your PM but there is no PM from you in the site admin account - nor is there a reply to you from there. I can only assume therefore you PM'd an individual member - I dont think it was me as I have no record of receiving any PM from you. I

    If you can point me in the right direction I will look into it otherwise I cant comment on your accusation - other to express surprise if this was the case
