I think he'll be a great player for us in L1 if we can get a manager that gets us winning again and gives the players tactics and belief.
Wouldn't surprise me to see mid/lower championship sides trying to get him on the cheap.

Major disappointment last season, he’s a loser, get rid.

We need players with a winning mentality.

Only the keeper and Morris showed any consistent level of performance, the rest have been varying degrees of poor to terrible, so I don't get the writing off of Styles. I reckon Styles will go, but to a better team then Rovers, Burnley maybe, 2.5 million plus sell on.

Wouldn’t that require him to be able to pass the ball though? To another player in the same team, I mean…

I'm a big fan of Britain and happy to cut him some slack for last season but passings definitely not his strong point.

or crossing a ball. or beating a man. or making a tackle without committing a foul. despite publicly criticising 2 managers, he was absolute $hite last season.

I am puzzled that Stephen Dawson has issued a "like" both to this post and the previous one, which suggests that Brittain would be a great player for us in League One.

If Brittain was a loser last season, then surely he was a winner the previous season. I think he would do very well for us in League One.

He had an awful season but wingers tend to be the ones who suffer most when all is not well with a team. I think with the right new manager, he is one of several players who could find their confidence again in league one and then kick on. Depends how desperate we are to cash in but I could see him being worth more in january

I liked that he gave valid reason for his point of view. I might not necessarily agree with it.

I'm not one for slating players, ever - but for me, id drive Brittain there myself.

There's a reason we had our purple patch when Williams was playing, and then why we started losing points again when he got injured and Brittain came back in. Its not just his physical footballing ability, its his desire, effort, positional sense and composure- it was nought last season.

He had a habit of blaming too, without taking responsibility for his own performances.
Just down tools more than anyone else on that pitch (apart from maybe Palmer), and id be happy if we made anything on him

It's a long term view I hold for him, Marc. I also hold the view that the modern-day Full backs went from failed winger or CB (sky sports clip with Carragher and Neville) to failed winger or centre mid.

It's why I think they've played him in the centre and whilst not to turn the thread into a Brittain vs Williams I do think you see both types of Full back in them.

Brittain likes the one-two(very Swansea, Very Russell Martin). Hes got a little body faint whilst standing. He doesn't carry the ball that far unlike Williams who's a to b in the straightest line possible at max speed.

I don't get the long ball stuff he and Kitching did at times to Morris. That drove me mad at times.
