So we've paid a fee for a player who we could have signed for nowt a few weeks back and he's not as good as a player we gave away last year sounds like a right bit of business to me. Ahhh well nowt like panic buys at the end of the window is there. BTW have Mowatt and Woodrow signed for Cardiff yet for less money than we've paid for Brittain
To be fair, any player who leaves generally gets mixed reviews. Im pretty sure had a Stoke fan looked on here at the time they were interested in Brown, there would have been folk saying that he's average. I definitely saw some. I think I'll wait and judge for myself.
Reversing the algorithm? Ludewig and Ritzmaier depart, followed by Struber going as manager. Callum Brittain arrives, followed by Paul Tisdale as new manager. Just a thought with no basis of evidence at all.
The thing that bothers me about this signing is if he's such a prospect why did nobody sign him when he was a free agent. I mean not just us but any club. Come on Dane according to you we've be chasing him for ages so why then wasn't he signed when he was free.
How do you know they didn't try? He might have been holding out from an offer from MK still and waited until they could offer it. People are making a lot of assumptions that just because he was a free agent for a short period in August that we could have gotten him. Although I think we didn't try as we hoped to keep Ludewig.
But how much will relegation cost because if Woodrow and Mowatt go it's nailed on and we might not be lucky with Hong Kong business men this season.
They claim you lose 6 million but I doubt that's true this year, as TV money will be lower etc. League one might suite the owners with new wage cap they can blame that going forward etc.
So he was holding out for an offer from MK Dons and knocking back other clubs making him firm offers. Yer right course he was and I've just turned down the chance to win the Lottery cause I might win the Euro millions on Tuesday.
Don't be a tit. People do this all the time, we've had players turn down bigger offers to stay with us, why are you so shocked someone else might do the same. Mk had already made him an offer but he wanted more money, which they offered him eventually.
I don't think we've ever released a player and have him sit at home unemployed turning down other clubs on the off chance we might change our mind and hire him again
That may be true but I can't recall any that have then ****** off after 6 weeks. Look if you want to support the 80% mob I've stopped calling them owners because they still haven't paid for the club that's fine but let's face it the story Murphy's tried to spin on this is laughable. The lad was available for nowt in the summer and couldn't get a club apart from resigning for the club that released him. I wish him well and hope he turns out to be a world beater but forgive me if I treat the story put about by the club with the same level of contempt that the board treat the fans with.
Williams was let go because he wasnt good enough for the championship in our then head coaches opinion. And I'd have to agree we had bree and yiadom who we both better. We only offered him a deal so we could get some compo if another club came in.
I'm just glad that it is Mental Health Day, as I need the support after browsing several threads today.
Thst doesn't make sense does it? They released him. He was unemployed. Why would they get compensation?
