    If this is correct it is very good news. Plus with the recent acquisition of Frieser, who can play left wing, Styles can play in his best position in centre midfield. One of the best attributes of this kid is that his first thoughts is forward. Whether passing or carrying the ball.

    They definitely didn't, it was mixed opinions amongst their fan base. He's got great potential but lets not get too giddy just yet .

    Wonder if Man Utd got giddy over Rooney. Some players fade, agreed. But I genuinely think ( hope I haven’t put the mockers on) he could become the record transfer in our history with another year on his back. ( if we get him to sign a new contract and him not wanting to see it out) Liked him from day one. And would have had him in the side from day one.

    Interesting. Did a quick search and found these quotes from footymad when we signed him (from Bury fans)

    Will play in the Premier League. Proper talent. With respect, somewhat of a clever signing for Barnsley.

    A real big talent who needed to move to develop. He will be a top top player in the next few years if handled correctly. Wouldn't be surprised to see him in the Premiership in a few seasons.

    Great feet, technical player, always looking to receive the ball and get us moving. Great little player. Worth noting he stepped into a ****e Bury team and helped keep us up when he was 16 two seasons ago.

    Talented player, uses the ball well and intelligently. Physically he has some developing to do (only young so will come) and also needs to stamp his authority on the game more. Will be a top player in 2 or 3 seasons.

    His composure on the ball stands out when compared to others at league 1 and 2.

    Genuinely surprised to see people saying that Callum Styles won't be a loss..One of the best young talents we have seen at Bury in the last 25 years IMO

    Unbelievable player. Like a tiny version of pirlo.. He could play a game with his slippers on. Reads a game like a book and never gives the ball away. Will play at the very very top

    Cultered left footed central midfielder . Players at Bury are not good enough to see his passes he wants to give.

    Said it before knew in his cameo against Accrington he was class. His goal against Brentford will be the catalyst to him bombing forward and taking it himself more. He'll want more goals that his play deserves. It's good that hopefully we'll have Mowatt alongside him next season.

    Looking forward to midfield of Styles, Mowatt, Frieser and Ritzmaier.

    He's gonna be some player I reckon. Him and mowatt are first choice for me at min in midfield. Then think it's between Ritz, Thomas, Woodrow and Simoes to fill the other two positions. Think Frieser will be used as a forward though. Would also quite like to see odour given an opportunity in midfield. Apparently his preferred position.
