It’s very simple to get a transfer in football, play well consistently and most likely someone higher up the food chain will come and get you.

Let’s be honest, Barnsley isn’t the hardest club to get out of and he’s made a right cobblers of it and wasted years.

Paying money to the club knowing a proportion of it will end up in Callum Styles’ pocket for doing the square root of f all has annoyed me for years. What’s even worse, is the genuine contempt he has for the club, and the fans.

I don’t wish him well, infact I wish him the opposite. I hope he fails miserably. I hope he falls out of favour
and ends up in a mid table league one club. I hope his career highlight is the playoff season he had with us. I hope he’s boo’d and jeered relentlessly upon returning to Oakwell.

Yes I agree regarding Clarke, mate. There's no point in Clarke coming in and giving him the cold shoulder and potentially making a mess out of a future transfer and/or squad harmony etc. It was clear as you say that he didn't wanna be here, so I think it's definitely best now for all parties, I hope we find out the actual fee we got for him (though I'd be very surrpised...)

Forcing was probably the wrong wording. But he wanted to play at a higher level. 'Without much option' because of that.
He was at the start of his international career and may have been in fear of losing that, It was certainly one of his considerations.
It'll be interesting where Helik fits in with his. Now playing in league 1. As it was rumoured he needed to play at a higher level. To be considered.

Hopefully it’ll be sorted out in a day or two. Other than the Val season he’s been atrocious and has absolutely no respect whatsoever for the club or anyone connected to it.
