    Good point. In all fairness, it is a pretty simple rule, just hard to break a habit of not saying it when the last season you played was over 7 years ago!

    That is exactly what I was taught and I also remember Alan Mullery telling a story about a professional player being cautioned for not shouting his name.

    Is a rent boy gay then? I thought it was a male prostitute. It's like saying that the word whore means lesbian suddenly.

    If a referee give a strange decision is it not acceptable to say 'well that was queer'

    Everton player goes through the back of a player two footed and a fan shouts 'come on ref he could have crippled him' out you go lad, season ban for you.

    I dread to think what will happen if a fan turns up in a ford transit.

    It's the same with half-caste, that didn't used to be racist and loads of people still say it.

    Mixed-race was the new version but even that has since been supplanted by dual heritage.

    Clearly you need to keep up with your race vocabulary or else.
