    Or against Boro. When the moves come off, like Quina just then, we get up the pitch in the same way.

    When the full backs are allowed to get involved, again we look better. But without those moments of brilliance and competence to get up the pitch we look negative. Let’s not forget how many times Collins and our defenders have given the ball straight back to Derby. That gives the impression of not attacking too or being setup defensively.

    Good managers see where things are going wrong and fix them there is a worrying lack of ability to change things during a game to try to counter the other team.

    Typical of Barnsley. We always seem to struggle against teams at the bottom, whether we're at the top, in the middle, or down in the weeds with them.

    Conceding a goal within two minutes of the restart doesn’t allow any changes in the plan to take shape. We’ve been better this half going forward, considerably, but it was a low base.

    I think a goal, which we should have got, makes a draw realistic given league positions and pressure.

    Are we just a bit soft and bottling it? Might play better against Stoke with less expectation but no chance we’ll beat Reading, unless we’re back adrift by then.

    I agree that the passings poor but I just feel the whole team is 20yards deeper than recent games. Now that we're 2-0 down we've decided to push more players foreward. We're at our best when we're nicking the ball off teams in their half rather than our own.

    Styles moving more central alongside Benson (I think). Oduor playing right forward ahead of Brittain.

    Our bench is always a joke so it’s always slim pickings on the subs front when you’re chasing a game.
