    My guess is.

    With &pound;60,000,000 in the bag West Brom might not be guaranteeing Phillips first team action. Maybe the best he can hope for at this stage in his career is to be a big fish in a smaller sea.

    wouldnt want either to be honest.

    both over the hill and would be on top wages. They'd blow our wage struture out of the water and are well into their thirties they wouldnt be around for long and are likely to be injury prone.

    I'd love him to choose us

    And, in all honesty, I think WBA will use him mainly as a 'super sub', coming on in the final 20 minutes or so to try and either rescue a point or clinch a victory. If that's enough for him, he could well decide to stay.
    However, were he to sign for us, he'd definitely be the 'big fish in a small pond'. Unlike some on here, I don't think salary will be a stumbling block in any potential deal.
