It wasn't based on one game at all, as I clearly wrote, it was based on every game since the new manger took over. Look back at the first half of the QPR game for example and count how many crosses are put in from our left. You'll need more than two hands and you might run out of fingers after 15 minutes. We're struggling defending down the left, we have been throughout our games with the new manager, that you won't acknowledge that won't change it. That's not a worry though, the worry is our manager doesn't appear to, although to be fair his options are severely limited due to the recruitment effort. Everyone knew we needed a left sided defender but we didn't get one. My worry is that because of the limited personnel for the position the system adopted is leaving us vulnerable. If we'd got another Brittain for the left we might be OK but we clearly haven't.

But is it another Brittain we need for the left hand side, or another Sollbauer?

Probably both. Sollbauer is clearly more comfortable coming out to the flank and sweeping up on the right than Andersen is on the left. Andersen proved towards the end of last season what a good centre half he can be, but he's struggling in role he's currently been given. He's not alone, there are a lot of centre halves, some very good, who are uncomfortable when away from the centre. Andersen looks like one of those which isn't great as that's part of his role in this system.

I think Jordan Williams will help on that side- he improved a lot imo before his injury on the left side of the 3. It'll then be a decision for Ismael which of Anderson or Helik to drop - is probably drop the latter.

Doing that will not solve the problem of the front three though - by playing this way it limits only 2 central midfielders, a position we have huge depth in. We would be shoe horning a Kane/Mowatt/Styles out of position.

Suppose we could go 3-5-2, dropping Frieser for an extra midfielder.

Agree with all of that although I still don't think either Styles or Odour is the answer at left wing back. I don't think Ben Williams would be either even if he was fit.
