RE: minimum wage, working families tax credit nt Fair enough but you know what I mean and I still stick by the main premise and that they are eroding the benifits of working for a living by making life too easy for the ones who wo'nt have it.(Not including the genuine cases of course but we all know the others)
my household is worse off since the advent of minimum wage. Infact even with minimum wage I worked out that becoming a dole scrounger full time based on the incoming tax free benefits etc involved that my household would be over £500 a month better off.
RE: minimum wage, working families tax credit nt WFTC - best thing that ever happened for me. Under the tories I only got a few quid Family Credit for 6 months a year and nowt at all for the other 6 months. Labour for me every time (Y)
Job seekers allowance is what £60 per week or £240 a month. So in order for you to be £500 worse off while working you'd have to be paying your employer £260 a month to work for him.
I can't name a good policy that any of the parties has. Because they are all of mind that they have to represent someone other than me.
perhaps dole scroungers was the wrong term , benefit fiddlers would be more apt. I'd be 500 a month better off having a 'bad back'
